  1. Well Bro, for a day, You did alright, I give you a buzz when we get the boat back, we will take to the salmon runs that will cheer you up . PS, I beat you again
  2. I hate it when Yesterday i pulled my boat out of the water in broklin on the hawkspry, i was in a rush and a in a panic because i had to get the boat to my dealer by 4;30 before it closes, and it was 4;15, And I had to complexly strip down the boat with in 6 minutes. I was picking up every thing that was not nailed down and chucking it in the back of the car, after I striped the boat down i finally when’t to to get my rod's out, as i was picking up my really expensive rod off the floor of the boat i noticed that it was stuck, so quite stupidly I yanked at it and it would not come free then i notice that the life jacket compartment door was closed on top of the tip, and when i open it, it was completely snapped off. And that was a $140 rod, But i got it fixed free of charge so i got lucky that time.
  3. Your doing nothing wrong, it just been a bit quite of late, Spring is coming latter then usual and the water is still very cold, My advice to you is forget about the local fish wait for spring and warmer water, and instead go and chase the samon, They taste bloody awful but there fun to catch
  4. Only had this boat for about six months, its' 3 years old with very few hours showing on the moter meter. The live bait tank works well as long as you don't drop the fish because it's into the drink. There is a bit of spray on board in a chop but on smooth water gets along at 29knots at 5000rpm with two up
  5. It's a nomad 469 with a 50 etec. love the boat really go's well, have just ordered an electric for the front.
  6. G'day Raiders About two weeks ago we were drifting off the eastern side of Lion Island. The salmon boiled and it was on, about six boats turned up and the lures were flying. I got a good smack on a bronze lure that my father had when I was a kid, now thats a long time ago. My son hooked up using a silver blade, 4lb braid and his new Berkley dropshot rod. Well the rod and reel really did get a good work out. Over half an hour later he boated his salmon.
  7. Blades? is that a berkley bladedancer, if so what size?
  8. No not much action yesterday, another boat close by was having a slow day as well. My son got his two squids and said that was his feed so we went home. Thanks for the cleaning tips. Didn,t think to turn them inside out and we did have ink, well, every where.
  9. Have just been out yesterday off Balmoral. So we now know how to catch the damn things and we know how to eat them... But we need a lesson on how to clean the buggers. Can anyone help?
