  8. finaly have made some plans to go out to port hacking fad this weeknd with couple mates and with some lures livies and some fresh squid caught this week should do the trick if anything is around, testing out the boat on its first deep sea trip since its rebuild which is fully equipt with latest safety gear and gps ect. has been to the harbour and back from port hacking no with worries but hasnt been used to fish outside yet so keen to break it in hope fully with some good results if any guys are heading out i'll be in a 25ft swift craft half cabin with a orange hull can come say hello
  9. ive just started getting into the squid and have found same results when i retrieve slow i get alot more hits with little hook but i tend to try keeping tip down and when i feel a slight nudge on the jig i just flick the tip back towards my feet & seems 2 work well i had a squid session 2nght local jettie and got couple of nice squid bit small 2 eat but good for bait, give u another excuse to get out there and give it another crack

haha reckon my step father was a boss at P&o docks, for years he would bring home bags of fish dont know how clean the water would be around there but hay there is plenty of fish there around the structure,
  15. hay mate yeah i was in bali last year and booked a charter from nusa dua went out side for a troll with some lures and managed a bluefin tuna i wanted to put out for a live bait but guy didnt have decent ovrhead reel hehe overall was a fun day out and the guys were friendly enough to share some tuna catching secrets that worked well for them picture of my tuna
  16. thanks guys have armed my self up with a few more yozuri jiggs thanks 2 ebay after finding a pack of 12 assorted colours, fingers crossed i can continue to catch more inkers now for bait and for a feed with new jiggs any one used cuttle fish to target mulloway? ive read some reports saying it can be used but is not as good as squid im assuming its because of the hard casing in the hood? im gona try using it same way as ive rigged up (not fresh squid) whole previously with 2x size 7 gamakatsu occy circle on 80lb jinkai line.
  17. hay guys just joined up and have been visiting the site for over 6months now & love it have gathered much info from the site which has lead to many great catches! have been out mostly trying to catch squid for a while with no luck have been to gymea baths, lilli pilli baths, and yowie bay boat ramp with no luck and am using a green/orange 2.5g yozuri so nearly giving up decided i'd try cronulla (gattamatta baths) ago, was actually on the phone had a line in and bam felt the jig throbbing away hung up on my girlfriend to wind in a nice size squid. Was actaully bit to big to land without net so decided to walk back to the beach to land rather then loosing my first inker, stocked whilest i had him lying there squirting in i thought i had seen another near by so cast again to pull in a nice bait size cuttlefish which is goin in the freezer for jewie bait for this weeknds effort, made my first salt & pepper squid with the bigger one was best squid ive ever had!
