  1. Thanks for that, I saw the link weeks ago but thought nothing of it when I couldn't load the page. Only today did I try again. Cheers

  3. I am a angler and scuba diver residing on the Coffs Coast at Woolgoolga, I actually went for a spin this morning off my local headland. The thought that I could be prevented by law to fish in these waters is not only infuriating but screams ignorance and stupidity. Don't they realise the knock on effect that the imposed sanctuary zone would have on our region? I would only keep my boat because of my other hobby but why would I even live here if I can't enjoy the greatest pastime known to man? Why would I live here if I'd only get to teach my kids how to fish when we go on holidays to somewhere else? Local Fisho's would be wholesaling their craft and probably get rid of their equipment. There goes the tackle shops and boat yards. Who would holiday here when you can't wet a line? There goes tourism. People from all demographic's would be choosing somewhere else to retire/invest/holiday/reside, the list goes on. Can fishraider get a petition going? Cheers and thanks for reading. Gendleberries.
  4. Hi, I am soon to recieve delivery of a boat from the US. It is coming here on a cradle as it was going to be a lot of stuffing around to import the trailer as well. I intend to berth it at the Coffs Harbour marina once it arrives but I need to get it from Brisbane first. I am reluctant to buy a trailer for what could be the one and only usage and I don't really want to pay a carrier to truck it down here and crane it into the water or slipway. Does anyone know of anyone, anywhere between Coffs and Brisbane that can loan me a trailer capable of carrying a (beautiful) 20 foot Bayliner? It weighs about 1500kgs and has a 8 foot beam. Cheers.
  5. My mate Del, his mate Rossco and I headed to Forster on the weekend hopeing to set the circle's into some bluefin off the stones. After a long, painful, slippery hike in the rain and some delicate rock skating by Rossco (didn't wear rock fishing boots) we finally got to the ledge. The more experienced lads, ie everyone but me, started off by burleying up for liveys and, after they'd jigged about 10-15 yakka's, Rossco had one of em rigged up and on the menu for any big pelagic passers by. Now i'll put all of you out of your misery by declaring that, aside from a chopper tailer and a late afternoon shark, the livey's didn't eventuate to much, and certainly no big runs from the bluefin tuna that we were hopeing for. I had a ball spinning up Bonito from the moment we got there. First with a 65 gram Raider, then with almost everything else I chucked at em right up until I had to go at about 1pm. It was my first spin with my new G Loomis stick and, coupled with an 8000 Stradic, I was well pleased with my investment as I landed and released about 30 bonnies including one rather pretty fish called a Watsons leaping bonito. Del and Rossco joined in on the action while their yakkas flipped and flopped about and Rossco managed a feat I had never seen before. Spinning a bibless minnow lure he hooked twins, one on each treble. Del told me later on that after I had left Rossco had done it again on the same lure, I must get me one of those. It just goes to show ya that even a "failed" fishing expedition can be whole lot of fun, shame about the camera though... Until next time, May the schwartz be with you!
