Just wanted to give a quick update & to say thanks to all for opinions & advice. Went today to have a look at said boat, and it was as advertised - perfect condition & plenty of extras. Well maintained, fresh water use only, garaged, etc. Anyway, long story short, we got it for $11,500. I'm Stoked!!! Looking forward to taking her out on the first trip. Thanks again for advice given. Cheers for the replies. I've had a bit of a search online for Stacer Seaways, and give or take a year or two the price doesn't seem to fluctuate a great deal. Do boats keep their value a lot better than say cars? Only looking to take trips to dams/lakes or on the odd coast trip along the rivers. And, yeah, don't want to go too big as we only have the family car (wifes VZ Wagon) to tow with. I'm just happy to get the go ahead with buying a boat! But don't want to blow our money on something that won't suit us, or obviously isn't worth the cash. We live a good 4+hrs from the coast so are somewhat limited in what we can get out to have a look at too. Will check out this Huetts online. Again, thanks for the input. Decisions, decisions....

Hi, I was hoping to get some opinions (good, bad or otherwise) on our first boat buy! I'm looking to buy something to take the family/kids out on over the weekends. This will be our first boat buy. This is what I've got my eye on, and want to know if its worth the dollars. $13000 2004 Stacer 420 Seaway Yamaha 30hp 2stroke swivel seats, Electric tilt, Front steering, Fish finder , Radio, Cd Player, Marine Radio Big Esky, 6 Life Jackets, Ski Biscuit and Extra Life Jackets, full safety gear, Bait Board, Great High Canopy, side curtains, rod holders, cup holders, Glove box In perfect condition as new.
