Those Long Tom are amazing. I caught a few at the hot water outlet on Tuesday. Are they any good to eat?

Gotta love those surprise catches that the warm summer currents bring. As for eating, I had spotted mackerel from a fish and chip shop in Noosa and it was as good a fish as I have ever eaten.

I bet the big one went like a train!!! They never give up!! Love em!

Last night mum and dad took me out night fishing. We put the boat in just before dark and went bo get some bait. We got some nippers and yellowtail plus we had pilchards and prawns. Now it was time to fish! Dad found a 4 metre deep hole on the sounder and we drifted through it. I caught a small flounder and dad caught a tailor. Mum caught some small bream. When it got really dark we moved to another spot and dad caught a big bream. I caught a stingray and a good bream as well. Then the fish stopped biting and mum said it was time for bed. Any wharf or pontoon in the Hacking will hold yakkas. Burley up with bread and float unweighted baits down the trail. Good luck.
