Hi all Went out with a mate Ali from Arncliffe thats an awesome snapper fisho and we came up with the goods. These were great fish.Wind came up a bit and was hard to control the drift at times but we still managed a few fish. We got smoked on a couple others that could not be stopped on light gear. Cant wait to get out there again.

I'm hitting longy this Sunday to try to get those reds. Haven't had any luck yet but I know I'm close. Anyone getting out there to target snapper? If so let me know. Could team up and help each other by covering more ground

Mate ive just started fishing there also so i cant help. I have some other marks but i have not heard of White Rock..... Whats it known for?? I would like to find out also.

Caught 2 barracouta's and some other rubbish... Were you the guys in the pale yellow centre console?? I had the red & white half cabin.

Good effort especially with the strong current. Were you there on Saturday or Sunday.... I was out there on Saturday chasing the reds and we only managed a just on legal red....Go the SP's

Mate 4lbs leader is very game. I too have had some good runs there over the last 3 weeks. I have lost 8 fish over 3 weeks. Have not landed 1 get or even got to see it at the boat. On my last trip last weekend i hooked 2 good fish that smoked me......1st fish ran for a good 90 seconds and i was onto my backing.I was freaking out with this run.Im sure this fish would have been in the 20kg mark.I was using 50lbs leader but this was no match for a screaming fish into structure......... Jews are going to slow down soon boys. Get out there while you can.

Hey robjob You can start with the usual spots mate. There is Monuilex (kings & mixed bag) Point, Watts (kings & mixed bag) reef, Towra (bream,whiting flatties) Bare Island (mixed Bag)......... Just burley up where ever you are. I will leave the rest to you. If you dont know these locations, google it. Cheers mate. I wish others answered my similar questions when i asked. Just because you may know a good spot, you still need the skill to catch them and it doesnt mean the fish are always on the bite.

Well done. Looks like you had a fun session. I was at san souci this morning off the beach throwing a mf-40 around for a hour or so and on the last cast i managed 70cm FAT flatty. Had to weigh 2.5kg. great fight on the 2-4kg stick i was using. Ill be back there in the morning, tight lines all

Yeah rats are going hard pretty much all through the harbour which is good to see. Where abouts are the colours? Is it a reef? Is it outside the heads? cheers

Anyhow ive been getting some rats around south head but nothing much to talk about, Where are the colours? i have seen the reports also and its proving to be productive foor the bigger kings. I know what you mean. Dumb ass people every where putting undersize fish in their buckets. Ive had a few arguments at whalfs with farkwitts that dont understand what fishing is all about, let alone understanding the English Language. Its bullshat. Its hard enough to get onto legal fish these days and when you see undersize been taken home, i understand why. Hope things change soon and authorities get very strict with more numbers of them or i feel sorry for my 3 young boys that im trying to build into serious fishos . Good luck.

Ah. Hawks Nest. What a magic place. I'm fortunate enough to have a holiday house there. So many areas to fish there
