Headed out with little bro in the yaks sunday morning straight off a night shift. Wow was i tired but was quickly woken by a couple of taps on my 80mm squidgy fish thought it was a chopper, then all of a sudden my placcie was engulfed & my rod buckled in half, she did not run straight away but still had me thinking my 3-5 kg rod was gonna break. it was taking me from left to right taking a couple of metres of line each time giving head shakes, when all of a sudden I started to gain a bit of line. I screamed at my bro Ive got me a jew!!! After saying that she started to peel off line at an alarming rate straight for the pylons. Oh no not again!!!! piiiiiing!!! followed by a howl :ranting2: of pain if you were around the bay you might have heard me.. Anyway don't wanna harp on it to much, so on with the trip. Was a bit quiet after that caught the odd bream, both I caught were dead on 35cm only one photo though. Managed to hook a good size treva at 51.5cm who gave me absolute hell around some moored boats, took me a while to get her in & was stoked when baby bro netted her for me. Thanks benny!!! :thumbup: Hit Wolli creek for a little while with only a small flatty to show for it. Had a flick at the boats on the way back with benny disappointed about his catch for the day, when all of a sudden his rod buckled and after a short fight pulled up a horse of a whiting at 44cm and she was fat too. That made his day & we were both content to go home, me especially so I could pass out!!!! peace..............

Went out friday arvo armed with some spinnerbaits & some new knowledge provided to me by stewie!!!! I couldnt fail!!! flicked some poppers on the way to the weir, had a couple of good hits but nothing hooked. Got to the weir & chose my red & black skirt 1/4 oz spinner & started flicking. Third cast & i got slammed right near the yak little bugger put up a great fight I got him in & measured him at 37cm. Changed baits not long after to one stewie gave me & got attcked by a fat 30cm good fight as well. As it was on dark i decided to pull the pin happy that i got my first bass on a spinnerbait yay!!!! Thanks stewie!! When are we gonna go bass fishing in your bath tub????? I heard it goes off??? :1fishing1: Also atattched is a bass I caught the night before also 37cm caught on buggi pop...

well for all you hopefull fishos out there that thought stewie was gonna go for a swim in the nepean, sorry I couldnt manage it for you. He took to my yak like a duck to water!!!! Dont worry the camera was handy in case it happened.. WE took off in the dark flicking surface lures but it was very quite up top until about two hours in when stew nailed one on a popper.. and well from here on in stew stole the show. Switching to a spinnerbait he nailed 3 crackers in a row at the bottom of the weir... all an all a good day with some good company & a good paddle.

pics from 3 different outings.. catch of the season so far was my calf!!!! yay!!! I poled a nice 32cm down near camden bridge when I lifted her in she thrashed between my legs & I thought she spiked me but not so lucky!!!! So on one treble I had a bass & the other my calf.. Of course the fish was hooked really good so between thrashing around & ripping at my leg i tried to get her free. Finally I let her swim away safely.. Then I took a pic of my stupdity & thought I would share it with you guys. Also attached are some recent photos nothing massive but were all great fun to land... enjoy!!

hit my favourite spot yesterday around 6pm with my new favourite lure attached ready to strike.......... fourth cast of the day and whammo a nice 32cm to start the day@!!!! 10 minutes later a nice chunky 34cm smacked my lure, i nearly lost her in the sticks, but remember past mistakes managed to stop her. Unfortunately after that I picked up 4 more but they only got smaller. They included two 30cm & two 25cm but it was a great session!!!! I lost two around the 30cm plus mark in that period as well but was happy with my arvo... also added is a couple of pics of my bros best fish so far, it is his first season & yes people we have another bass addict!!!!!!!!!!!!!

went out around 7:00am with my brother & one of my mates on our yaks. Target for the day only one thing..................................BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not alot happened for about two hours & was starting to think it was a mistake to promise my brother i would get him onto some bass & pop his cherry. Hold the phone................... dont worry about my brother I just had my river 2 sea cicarta absolutely hammered by the little beauty you find attached. Wow what a feeling..................... I fn love bass fishing. Anyway obviously landed her & made my day. Spent the rest of the day guiding little bro around & retreiving his snags, I was determined to get him a bass. finally his atomic got smashed up top by a little fiesty fella & man i love the look on peoples faces when they expierence their first bass attack. I think i enjoyed that nearly as much as catching mine. didnt have equipment to measure I estimate between 40-50 cm anyone care at taking a guess?????????? I did return the beautiful creature as hope it goes on to create more little wonders for me to catch when they get nice & fat..........
