huey, also one other issue I have is the i-commad gauge (2 of them) the display is very blur when you first turn on how ever it improves when the the boat is running for about 1-2 min ? is that the battery voltage issue ? confuse ?

Hi Huey, to be honest I have not taken the boat for a run yet . just got it this week and I am hoping to take the boat for a run this weekend (if missus allowed). in term of the service it has been done 8 month ago and I am thinking about putting some hours on the outboard before I do a another service . she is in a good running order start first go hot or cold and sounds nice as well (smokeless cold). in term of the boat I have been told its a Pride boat (showing on the Rego Papaer) not sure on the model though and I cant seen to see compliance plate any where.

Thanks huey . Problem is I don't know what model is this pride... The transom has been reinforce with a very thick plate aluminium when the new outboard been fitted... can u tell what model is this pride ?

hey guys, I am thinking about buying this 6M Pride glass boat unfortunately I dont have too much information on the boat itself such as model and the year. the transom is solid and the floor is good the rest of the boat is clean. pretty high side on the gunnel looks like a decent boat. just want to get some feedback on them as I try to google it not much result are showing up .. cheers wen

Hey huey . I am not saying the hydraulic steering is going to make the boat plane better I am saying it's a really good addition to the boat as the cable steering on the poly is really hard to turn. Adding the hydraulic steering makes the boat day and night different in term of handing especially when I try to get the boat off the plan and steer at the same time . Just sharing my experience with my polycraft .

Hey guys. Don't waste your hard own money upgrading the outboard completely not worth it. When I bought the polycraft I made sure I got the max horse power engine knowing the issue how ever the result are the same. Also 4 stroke weight more than the 2 stroke. Best 3 mods you can do for the polycraft .1, chine mod 2, hydraulic steering upgrade . Day and night difference . 3. Smart tab. Again day and night different .

Hey just sharing my experience with polycraft. I had a 06 4.55 side console with 60 etec on it and when fish with 3 bloke and fair bit of gear I cannot get the boat off plane. Once it's off plane there is no issue. Try to balance the weight and the se 300 does nothing to me. I sold the boat for something bigger now. If I still have the boat I will install a smart tab as it helps head off the plane. Guys at polyowner forum has a nice write up about it. Nice solid and safe boat how ever it's a wet boat unless u have done the chine mod.

I have been fishing for a while now around Sydney and I have own boat on the past but always fish around the inner harbour and parra river and botany bay area. but I dont really know any decent spot to fish on the boat and I am to the point want to sell the boat and forget about it. I am looking for someone that knows the area well and can take me out for a day of fishing either in my boat or yours or maybe even tag along if its more comfortable with you. Hi Guys, I am new to boating fishging, I have doing this on and off quiet a bit time already but I was never good at it. I recently purchase a boat - 5.7M Ally Craft Bow rider - very nice boat, now I am looking to learn off you pros where & how to fish, area I normally fish is around the botany bay and I have been catching things like bream, flatties and whiting .... I am looking to go out on this sunday (if the weather permited) and I am looking for someone that knows the area good and willing to teach me with few tricks and show me a few spot around the bay or out to the heads/reef. nice catch there.. . it was a really nice day on botany bay.. I went out in the morning with my missus to test up my new toy...took a few fishing rod with us (off course) did a short 2 hour session around the bay.. plenty of small sanapper and under size flatiie... keep one flatie thats decent. but yeah the water flat as mirror not much wind at all.

baz, I am in the same boat picking the sounder and I am deciding if I am gonna go to HDS5 or the new elite 5, I am after the combo unit now the decision has been made I am going for Elite 5. only reason beside the extra connection the HDS has the only difference between the 2 unit is the coloor depth, 16bit VS 256 colour... the elite 5 comes with X9L Nav Gold Card which is $300 alone.. and I can pick one elite 5 up for 850. so its a bargain.. the HDS5 is around 1000+300 =1300 or 1200 if you are lucky so thats my option hopefully this will help. cheers wen

thanks guys.. yeah first time out for the red... dont really know where exact we fish.. my mate took me out we pass the headland and out to some sort of reef and thats where he fish all the time for sanppers.. might be going up sometime nextweek again.. if the weather is good.. cheers
