  1. The photos were posted and shared on the I Love Caringbah South Facebook page.

Spotted from his house at Gannons Bay, Glenn Warren photographed this fever of stingrays in the Port Hacking.

An afternoon cuppa from his Boomerang Avenue waterfront balcony came with a spectacular display of nature.

Mr Warren captured the rays swimming in unison, about 20 metres from his waterfront residence.

The photos were posted and shared on the I Love Caringbah South Facebook page.

“I’ve lived here for 10 years and seen dolphins, seals and blue gropers,” he said.

“I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Anyone guess what type of rays they could be?

  2. Good onya Donna (and Stewy, if he had any input lol) for making this the go to site for Fishos who take pride in their use of it. Like Granpa I won't be needing the super doper techno stuff as my phone is closely related to a building brick. So for those of you who CAN use the new technology, let's see you all contributing and we old farts will continue to look, listen and learn.

    Well said

  3. post-12725-0-33217800-1455695829_thumb.jpgThanks for your good wishes.

I went fishing last Wednesday for the first time since my surgery 14 months ago.

I fished off Wattamolla for my 10 flathead. It was great to be out on the water again.

I was harassed by Green toads instead of the usual Leather Jackets. They would follow

my baits to the surface and then school under the boat, then chase my fresh bait down to the bottom again.

Those fresh Flathead sure taste good after a long layoff.

Thanks again for the good wishes and support.

  4. In my younger days the double hooks were all we used when fishing for hairtail.

I still have a few left and they work fine, easy to thread a Pilchard on, and with a few hooks

you can leave them in the fish and retrieve them later, just using the same clip over and over.

  5. If you want to force the issue tell them that you can't sleep because of the pain,

then they will reconsider, they did not want to do my left shoulder but it kept getting

worse until I could not sleep properly, then they said they would have to fix it.

So much better once they are fixed. well worth the six months that you can't use the arm.

Try to get a referral to Dr Hitchen at Miranda, he specialises in knees and shoulders.

  6. My Right arm was a major tear, Had Key hole Surgery by Dr Hitchen,

They grind the bone and trim the ligament, then screw 4 metal anchors

into the bone and stitch the ligament to the anchors,

It has to form a blood supply from the bone to the ligament to be successful.

6 weeks in a sling, sleeping was the major problem. The pain is constant

never seems to go away, need pain killers to sleep but not too bad during the day

If I tore it again I would have no hesitation in getting it repaired again.

They don't fix themselves they only get worse.
