Hey guys thank you for everyone's response, Iam still waiting on delivery of my new boat "Quintrex 430 fishabout" I have decided to go for something small and compact for the family and for some solo session, with many thoughts I have decided not to get the dual battery system and just get a battery jumper instead.
Tight lines people's

I am heading down to Tuross head in 3 weeks, just wondering hows the fishing down there and is prawning a worth a shot, I will be staying at the red box cottage right in front of the lake most of my fishing will be land base thanks in advance for any tips or advice

there called torpedos

try the break wall, on the Tuncurry side not forster side if u wana do land base fishing but be prepare to loose a lot of gear if your hiring a boat try forster keys towards the oyster racks..
-
The breakwall produces, but you need long rods & nets & be prepared to lose lots of tackle, unless you fish the change of the tides - when you will still lose tackle. Jewies, flatties & bream & Blackfish are mainly caught from the breakwall - you need good rock climbing skills too, as the rocks ARE nasty & some are loose after big seas.
What sort of fishing were you planning on doing? What gear are you bringing? The beaches have been producing, if you want to fish with beach worms or mullet/other bait ........ around the lake there are some good areas - the Keys have some good spots for bream & flatties & blackies.
A lot of the sea wall up the lake in Tuncurry is off limits just now as they are making it into a rockwall, not a 'concrete' was as it was in the past - so none of the jetties near the bridge can be used just now (unless they've finished the work in the last week, which I doubt!)
Down Taree St (on the left ...... you will see the water) or right down the end, you can fish from shore & have a good chance of catching bream, flatties & blackies.
It's been VERY windy here in the last couple of weeks & today has been a howler - white caps everywhere, on the ocean and the lake.
Take a drive - and check these areas out!
cheers
Roberta
thanx Roberta
I will check the break wall out..

hey fellow fishraiders
im a land base person can anyone tell me, where a good place to fish at forster.. i be heading to forster this long weekend
-
after all these rain me and a mate decided to for a quick session at our usual spot, when we arrived we noticed the water was really muddy our hope of catching a fish was pretty much zero, our hope to catch a fish for a feed was not looking to good but we gave it a go,
surprisingly a four hour session was pretty good
-
the lake itself is clean I think lol, Sutherland council tried to open the lake bigger but it wasn't successful because of the sand dune..
-
