Finally popped my cherry & scored a cracker of a jew

Nice haul. Was out there previous weekend, but couldn't even manage a handful. We were on foot however.

Nice report. Probably a tailor had a go at your soft plastic. Haven't been there in ages. Always gets so crowded, and I tend to come home empty handed like yourself. However, it's a lovely spot regardless.

Nice catch Haven't hit the surf beaches yet this season, but hoping to go this weekend with all the reports of salmon. Never caught one yet, so looking forward to it.

Had a quick flick session off a beach in Botany Bay on Sunday morning. It was great autumn weather. Caught this 56cm flattie on the run out tide. Biggest one I caught off the beach so far. It was the only strike I had for the session, so was very pleased to land this beauty. It put up a bit of a fight, but hooked it through the tip of the mouth, so no risk of getting line bitten off. Pumpkinseed minnow did the damage.

Nice looking flatties there. I also enjoy catching flatties off the beaches in the Bay flicking soft plastics. Problem is most of them are just under legal size.
