  1. i have one as people have said just check it out but to answer your question what a gret boat at sea stable cuts water very well and very dry boat i have an old 85 evinrude on mine scaryquick but a good ride hope this helps

  4. Hi guys can anyone tell me what gauge of wire to use on my trim motor the wires going into it have corroded badly and need replaceing thanks warnie
  5. coils are fine may be the float level changed but there is fuel will try and check float level i believe they should be level but level with whati dont know

Hi guys i am having trouble starting my 1976 85hp evinrude:1st it was starting fine until (1 i replaced the plugs i didnt change the gap from the box they came in)(2 i took carbys off and blew them out but dint remove the jets only the screw caps ) now turns with heaps of power but wont fire and there is plenty of fuel getting through any help is appreciated thanks wayne

  9. hi guys i have the tilt tube out of my 1976 evinrude 85 and was wondering if it is possible to get a piece of black or gal tube and have it milled down to size and threaded ,a mate has a lathe and i was quoted $160 + freight by a local dealer probably stainless i didnt ask after picking my jaw up off the floor but i dont think the old one was any thoughts ?
  10. thanks gazza probably why it had a temp sensor just i havnt fitted it to the boat as yet still heaps to do and the temp gauge is stuffed will need replacing thanks warnie

  14. thanks craig i have got them all out bar one of the shock tubes which wont budge when you say cut it away do you mean cut through the shockie and do away with all together and what are they there for regards wayne
  15. Hi guys does any one know where the water outlet is on a 1969 85 evinrude cant see a piddle hole to see if water pump is working
  16. thanks guys will try the transmision and acetone but normal gas burner wont get enough heat in i tried today but will source someone with oxy thanks wayne

Hi guys i have removed the trim and tilt rams and motor but the swivel pins holding the motor are seized in the upper positon the top one has a thread and a lock nut and there seems to be a nut in the housing ,and the lower one holding the bottom of what looks like two shock absorbers is held in by split pins theseare the two areas that are seized /rusted is there anyone who can tell me how to get these out i have sprayed wd40 tapped them ect but no go regards wayne
