  1. Mate I think you should try out for master chef, that looks awesome.
  2. Unfortunately no good news to report guys. I was at Browns by 6am and got back at 6pm for zeros. I trolled the whole day except for a one hour drop at Browns. Nothing much happening on the radio until sunset when i heard one or two boats caught some fin on the cube. It was also pretty choppy until after lunch. Good luck to anyone who ventures out wide. Best water i found with lots of birds and dolphins smashing bait was at S 33 58 524 151 48 066 E which was about 9nm NE of Browns.
  3. Looks good mate, if you don't mind me asking how much did that set you back.
  4. Hey peter, the show was Jason Kennedy's Fishin' Trip. Thanks for the tip on the lures.
  5. Hi Peter, do you add weight to your scent blazer when chasing dollies or just pack it with bait. I bought the tuna pack from you last year so hanging for the bluefin to arrive. By the way I was watching a fishing show on TV and they were using your lures for the first time and were impressed. They had quite a few hook ups. Keep up the good work.
  6. Hi mate, caught mine at 34°15.18'S, 151°34.38'E: not sure if they will be a bit further south than that now due to current pushing down but water temp was around 19.5. I caught mine on an xrap deep diver mackerel colour. Good luck
  7. Hi Sluggo, I just want to say thanks for sharing your co ordinates yesterday on the radio. I was at Browns deep dropping when I heard you on ch21. I quickly entered your info into my gps and 45 mins later I was at the location you shared. After trolling for half hour I was onto my first yellowfin. Weighed in at 40kg. I've been chasing these tuna for 2 years and if it wasn't for you I'd still be chasing so thankyou once again.
  8. Congrats Errol, I'm still a marlin virgin but hoping to change that this season. When your out with good company and you hook up to a cracker fish like that I don't think there is a bigger high. Good on ya champ.
  9. Went out to the Fad off Port Stephens today and there were no dollies anywhere. Water temp was 21.6 which is probably why . After a while of trying we headed to Broughton Island and caught a few squid and downrigged around the island for donuts then drifted on the 30m line out from hawkers nest for a few flathead but overall pretty disappointed. Maybe I should have stayed in Sydney. Any other raiders up here getting out offshore?
  10. I also just took up your Tuna lure special package. Would I be able to use these for marlin too or are they too small. Cant wait till they arrive.
  11. Good chance they were Mac tunas, found heaps of schools last week around 2k out. They were very fussy but managed a few on 20gram slices.
  12. Went out to 12 mile this morning and lost about 100metres of braid and my favourite jig to the bastards. Caught one on a jig too. Big, bad and ugly.
  13. That photo of the Mako free jumping is awesome. Your right about Albacore being a great eating fish. I also rate it one of the best for sashimi. Do you think the yellowfin will ever arrive?
  14. Hi Guys, The Sydney Offshore Artificial Reef GPS coordinates (WGS84) are: Latitude - 33°50.797'S Longitude - 151°17.988'E I have never fished it but trolled over it and those co-ordinates are spot on. Looks like a big xmas tree on my sounder. If you get out there let us know how you went. cheers Stacko
  15. Could be a mullet rod.
  16. I think you'll be called Magic Mike from now on. Unbelievable.
  17. Don't worry Drummo, you weren't the only one. I clocked up 82nm for a 10kg albie too. let's hope for some good weather next week so we can do it again.
  18. Ok , I should be at the ramp around 7. Good luck. If i find anything i'll call you on 21
  19. Congrats on your catch. I also watched your video and you did a great job mate, you kept your cool the whole way through and got your colleague a fish of a lifetime. I'm heading out tomorrow AGAIN in search of the mighty Bluefin and just wanted to know how you bleed them and gut them. Is there any special technique in gutting or tricks I should know just incase I land one. Ive heard that I have to cut just behind the pectoral fin to bleed them but not sure if there is anymore I need to do. Also do you have to club them in the head to kill them. Thanks for your help.
  20. Hi Raiders, Wandering if anyone had more luck than me yesterday. I thought it was a good idea to drive from Sydney to Port Kembla boat ramp yesterday and head wide to see if I could find myself some tuna. Wish I had stayed in my warm bed because those westerlies early in the morning hammered me. Not a good idea to head out in a centre console in those conditions but I'm desperate to find a tuna. Heading out east of Browns tomorrow so wandering if anyone was out there yesterday with some news.
  21. Hi Marty, hope you guys had luck today. Saw your trailers in the car park but couldn't get a hold of you on the radio. Geez it was blowing hard in the morning, especially when your in a centre console . Headed back in around 2pm with no luck, found a few good temp breaks but no fin. Let us know how you went. Cheers Stacko
  22. Was going to head towards Heatons but looks like a change of plan and will be heading towards Kiama Canyons as there were massive schools of Bluefin found there over the weekend and according to SST charts there looks like a few nice temp breaks around. Anybody else heading that way?
  23. I will also be out on Monday, I'm in a orange centre console Bar Crusher. If I find a school I will let you know. My call sign is Stacko. Ch 21 Good Luck
