Hi, I have bought two floodlights for my boat which I plan to fix to my rocket launcher and I want to have a crack at wiring them up myself but I am an electrical novice! I have a six gang switch and want to put it to the same switch as an internal light (which is bottom left as you look at it) but I can't work out what wire goes where. I have attached a picture and wonder if there is either an easy explanation or anyone knows of a good 'how to' online guide etc? Any help appreciated Dave

Hi all, I want to fit a hydrofoil to my Formosa 550 which has a Mercury 115hp four stroke on the back - what should I look for? Does it just go on engine size?? Any advice appreciated Dave

Hi, I have a Formosa half cab and get out most weekends mostly from Middle Harbour fishing the harbour, inner and outer reefs for kings, sometimes chase dollies or go wider trolling etc. I am always looking for people to make up the numbers and if anyone wanted become a regular addition to the boat that would be great - just share fuel expenses and help clean down. Hi, I fitted the Structure Scan transducer as specified, within 300mm if my skimmer transducer at the bottom of my transom. I now get quite a lot of spray and lose my sonar readings/depth etc at quite a low speed. Is there anything I can do????? Dave

Hi Raiders, I have a Simrad NSS7 sounder and recently the temperature reading dropped off the display. I talked to Simrad who were very helpful in talking me through how to update the unit and apply the correct transducer settings. Still no temperature reading though and I now understand that the transducer may be faulty - just my luck - two weeks out of warranty!!!!!! To be honest I don't really want to rip the transducer out when everything else works and wonder - is there any other easy way I can rig up a standalone water temperature reading setup? Hi, I bought a fin-now marquesa 20 overhead, have landed somee nice kings with it and have been really pleased with it. It's got plenty of grunt but also a good retrieve ratio which is important if you are mechanical jigging as lower ratios can lead to line wrapping round the tip. I reckon it's all down to preference but I found jigging more comfortable with an overhead that's fits nicely in my hand. Dave

Hi, I want to fit stainless steel 30 deg rod holders to replace the plastic ones on my boat. Can any of you give me any pointers on what to look for - the ones I have found so far range quite widely in price? Dave

Hi, We have been down there 3 or 4 times and caught at least one each time. We fished the north bank in around 20m each time and found that pilly with just the head removed and a green starlight a couple of inches above it did the damage - no weight fished at around half depth. Hope you get into them next time Dave
