  1. HI Captain, I have installed Garmin Fuel Sensor to my NMNE2000 network. It works very well. I can read my fuel flow more accuracy on my Fish finder, not sure what fish finder you have.My one is Suzuki. Cheers
  2. Hi Wen, I have the same issue with my 4.55 (rate at max 50 HP). I have it on 50 HP Suzuki 4 strokes. It is struggling to plane as well. Lucky me, I have been thinking to upgrade 60 HP Etec too. However, I have found out 50 to 60 does not make big difference. Not sure the 75HP Etec on 4.55 back. Yes, Chine mod has been done my 4.55. The Se 300 did not fix the planing issue, the guys from the polycraft owner recommended to go for the Smart Tab. @ Trung, you can get a new rating for 4.55 up to 70HP (PM me for info). The polycraft owners have done it. I am not sure if I can push it up to 75HP for new rating or upgraded to Smartwave 4.8 or brumby one. Thanks again for ur help last year. Cheers Cheers
  3. Hi Brett, Thanks for your advise. Spending few hundred is not matter. My main concern is the complexity of the wiring system. I just like to keep thing as simple as I can to avoid problems and easy to troubleshoot.Unless it is a must to do then dual battery is the way for me.Unfortunately, my Suzuki engine does not have a pull start . Cheers
  4. Hi Bob &Robbie, Thanks for your advise. I will try to get the Ammeter to see what happen. My battery is 1 year old. Its fairly new for its age. Cheers
  5. Hi Guys, Before I spend few hundred dollars on dual battery system, I am better to seek the experts here for advises. Currently I am on single battery dual purposes Century Marine Pro 720N (C CA 720 - RX190- Ah100 - MCA 865). My current electrical equipments are: Light anchor/bilge pump (Not using much this for safety purpose when i start early/late), VHF Radio , Garmin fish finder/GPS 7"inch and Fusion player system use on a 50HP 4Stroke Suzuki 19A Alternator. I am planing to install a 40L live well tank which will use on 8 hrs fishing trip. I am moving from spot to spot around Botany Bay. So, my question is: With the currently battery is enough power for 4 electrical devices constantly on for 8 hrs (VHF/Media Player/40L Live well/7" Fish finder) + 50HP engine cranking from time to time or I need another battery to run my electrical devices ? Your advises please. Cheers
  6. Hi Guys, Just updated a few more pics. The fish and gears and handsome anglers. Have a nice weekend.
  7. Hi, I did not know your in this forum too. Yeah, I and your Dad took the same trip. He fought hard like a 20 years old man.
  8. PM me, I will give you some advise.
  9. Yes, Lived only (squids and yakkas) because we don't have dead bait hehehe. I tried jigging and spinning, fish responded very well be careful with jigging (used fluorocarbon leader only, steel or metal leader won't work. Trust me I tried both fluorocarbon leader works ), there were thousand barracuda you may loose a lot of jigs as I did.
  10. Yes $150 cost me but it depends on your luck. I got lucky. Return from Saigon to Con Dao (Not Australia) be real hahaha.
  11. They called "Cá Kẽm" or painted sweetlip in English (https://bienvanguoi.wordpress.com/2011/10/03/painted-sweetlip/) hahahah. Hope that help.
  12. Hi Mate, About $500 AUD including food and accommodation (we eat and sleep on the boat) shared between 3 of us for 4 days and 3 nights (we took 3 days 2 nights). Because it was a trawler converted to fishing boat the facilities was poor (No toilet) we used "open air toilet" but in return we had a good service from the deckies each of us had our own personal deckies basically we did not use our fingers to hook the bait or tie knots. We just yell out "Bait or tackle" deckies will serve you to the teeth. You better get the local we can speak Vietnamese to bargain if you want to go there. Air ticket may cost you $150 return. Cheers
  13. Fishing: Con Dao Island (VietNam). After 6 and 1/2 years dreaming about this trip. My dream came true and it was the most memorial fishing trip I have ever been. 3 Days and 2 nights I and 2 more guys got almost 200Kg variety of species. The weather was perfect. We fished between 50-80m depth and the fish went nut at the middle of changing tide. Mostly they went for live baits. Have a good weekend.
  14. Hi Raiders, I am not sure if anyone here have tried using LED lures. One example is the Balista lures for bream/barra. I watched the addverstise look good to me but if they are really better than other or its a hype. Cheers
  15. Hi Raiders, Please read this review. I think help you a lot. http://www.trailerboat.com.au/news/boating/1307/crestliner-fish-hawk-1650-preview/ Cheers
  16. Hi, I have a poly 4.55 Cudy Cab a rare model anyway. What Jariu658 said is right. But about the Fitting accessories part for me is easy. You can drill a hole without worry about damaging a hole (can always patch with a plastic rod or silicon). With polycraft I can say that you are on the boat with confident. If you want to know more info. Look for this website polycraft owner. My one is 50HP and its just enough to push 3 guys and gears. Recommend you to get 60 HP or 70 HP if you can. Cheers
  17. Hi Raiders, I am not sure if you guys here have some ideas about any boat dealers can do trade in outboard in Sydney. I have my 50HP strokes Suzuki 2004. I want to trade in and upgrade to Yamaha 70HP. Please advise me. Have a nice weekend. Cheers
  18. Hi mate, Yes, i used the soft plastic last week prawn 5 inch. And the lure got smashed 1/2 by chopper. Well they work. Cheers
  19. Hi Raiders, Hope you guys have a nice weekend. I have a Garmin GPS556s Fish Finder/GPS and a GFS10 fuel sensor. They are working well together via NMEA2000 network. Now i want to upgrade to a bigger screen with another brand name lime Raymarine or Lowrance. I wonder if my Fuel sensor will compatible with another brand name. Please help Cheers
  20. Hi guys, While browsing for my Garmin GPS, I found this guy from youtube. He uses toilet bowl cleaner to clean his boat. Hope this will help us to save some money. Cheers
  21. Hi Mate, Yes, that was the 1st thing I checked. Make sure the kill switch got the key stuck in there. Not sure what happened as I did not have to check it yet. I was unlucky for the first time launching my poly. As I was lucky enough to know you guys here. Cheers
  22. Hi Trung, Sorry, I did not have change to say thank you. After you left, I was so embarrassing myself just realized that how rude I am. So I want to take this chance to say THANK A LOT. Cheers
  23. Hi Raiders, Howdy? I hope guys have a good time this weekend. Got my brand new second hand Polycraft after 4 months. I did a lot of clean up and tune up. Got the engine service. It started good all the way. Took the boat home from my uncle house for 1 and 1/2 month did not bother to turn on the engine (I believed it would start as It should). Took the boat out to Botany bay with full of petrol in the tank. At the boat ramp, launching perfectly, then tried to turn the key.only cranking sound . nothing happened keep trying until I gave. The best part was when I was in deep s*** there were a Asian guy with another 4.5 Poly central console on Honda engine kindly tried to help me. Thanks a lot whoever tried to help me. I did not ask his name because i was so frustrating. My mind was at the engine Lucky me, the engine did not start at the boat ramp. Imaging if it happened at middle of the bay then you guys can guessed what happened. I think something wrong with the fuel (fuel too old or something makes the engine does start). I am anyone here has/have any ideas please help. Engine Suzuki 4 strokes 50HP 2004 Model. Fuel Injection. Have a nice weekend. Cheers
