  1. Wow thats pretty impressive mate. Can you tell me a little more about what size plastics your using and where you target, i.e - in holes /banks ? Cheers Merro
  2. Nice bag, what were they taking?
  3. Thanks for the reply Kel. This Warrell creek keeps popping up as a location in discussions, I'll def be spending some time up there..
  4. Hey Fisho's My Family is heading up to Nambucca for 2 weeks in late september. We are meeting another family up there, and they enjoy a bit of friendly fishing as do we. Both of us have boats, his is more set up for estuary while mine is a bit bigger and can handle going outside. Im doing some pre trip research and hoping to get some tips from anglers who have fished these waters. Firstly, Ive heard the Bar crossing is a no no which sorta sucks but there is a beach launch location nearby? Basicly I want to know what species to target this time of the year in the river and what I might expect to get outside. I generally fish a combination of plastics and baits so Im open to any suggestions you good folk might have, along with any locations you can recommend. Much appreciated... Merro

    Como Brim

He didn't fight to hard to be honest. But was still a good start to the night.
  6. Havent had a fish for quiet a while and finally got out on Sat night chasing Jews. Didn't land any Jews (suprise suprise) but caught a nice 45cm brim on the run in tide at sundown. Didn't get much of anything after that other that a few eels, 1 of which got filleted for jew bait to no avail. P.s Old Mr Brim went back to fight another day.
  7. Good to see some waterfront owners making the most of thier lot Thanks for the tip!
  8. Far out Morgs, I guess we will be seeing that on your screen saver at work? Well done mate, who needs a 20,000$ boat when you can catch that in a 50$ Canoe!
  9. Nice Groper! Funnily enough, my missus says I turn in to a groper after I empty a few of those VB cans
  10. Im feeling for you mate. Must be pretty frustrating with the breeze blowing, let alone someone nicking your tow bar. Dont worry all the pain will go away when you haul that first fish in tomorrow... Merro

    Lost At Sea

Do you reckon they started looking at each other as possible food sources?
  12. Nice one, what did he take the squid or the YT?
  13. Last shark attack in the Georges was 1946 - GIRL KILLED BY SHARK IN GEORGE'S RIVER SYDNEY, Sunday. Valma Tegel, 14, of Russell St., Oatley Bay, George's River, was killed by an 8ft. shark in three feet of Water at Oatley Bay, yesterday afternoon. The girl had been swimming with her father, Walter Tegel, and her cousin, Barbara Walther, 13, at small beach near her home. She was horribly mauled, and died a few minutes after being taken from the water by her father. The girl's father fought the shark with his feet and fists, and forced it to release her. Tegel and the two girls had been swimming in shallow water for about 25 minutes when the shark attacked. Two Sharks Sighted Two sharks were sighted to-day in Oatley Bay, George's River, near the spot where Valma Tegel was killed. Despite a desperate and courageous effort by her father, Rudolph Tegel, who straddled the shark and fought it with his bare fists, the girl was horribly mauled, losing her left leg, and she died in her father's arms as he was carrying her from the water. ---------------- Only a matter of time now that the commercial guys are gone and the fish are returning....
  14. Nice one! Its all down hill for him now though.
