  1. Rattle is nice mate. Havent used em yet, but will be able to elaborate more hopefully on the 5th March.
  2. Hi Guys, Thought I would share with you a few pictures of some lures I recently bought. The lipless rattler I believe imitates a sardine, perfect for up North Queensland. The top water lures would be perfect for the bass, which I am yet to catch one, but also queenies, barras, jacks etc up north. What do you guys think.
  3. Hi Martin, Well if you ever need any guidance or info, let me know mate, more than happy to help. I have found a new charter guide that only charges around $660.00 a day, up to 4 anglers, so around $165 each. His name is Bob Fraser but if you would like further details PM me please. Cheers
  4. Trouble, that is just awesome shots. I am sure a few magazines would like to get there hands on those. Just gob smacking pictures.
  5. Hi Telco and Bashir, Thanks heaps for the basic 'style' of cleaning sunglasses. Sounds too easy to me. And Agree, that is getting personal with your glasses I will post what Frank from Spotters advises just as a FYI to everyone aswell. But I have got the answer I need and really appreciate your efforts. Regards Marlin Madness.!!!
  6. Hi Guys, Yes, the eating of fresh fish was awesome. I tell you what, that Green JobFish was up there with the eating quality. We ate is that night and big thick fillets. The day we picked was awesome. The next day after was like this too but we didnt manage to get out. Which was a bloody shame. With the barras, I hooked a Trevally, and was pulling it up and the week before I had been over at Dunk Island and had a massive Coral Trout chase my barracude right on top of the water. If ONLY I was quick enough to turn my camera to video mode it would of accounted for some great footage. So I decided to leave the trevally to swim around a bit and out of hte blue came 4 barras and a medium nice Coral Trout. Suprisingly the Trevally was smack back on the tip of the Barras nose, but no boofing mate. I am unsure why to be honest. If you have a look at the pic below, you will see a caramel brown shape. Well that is the big coral trout that came for the trevally also. Then this came after all of them and no more action.
  7. Hi there, Thanks Guys. It was a awesome trip. I have heaps more photos still in the memory card. The camera I am using is a Kodak 633.
  8. Hi All, I thought I would share with you some pics of a recent trip I did to Cairns. This is only one of many days fishing but this day had something a little special that I have never come across before. We were fishing out from Mourilyan Harbour, over 100ks south of Cairns and the morning had produced some cod that were just centimetres from legal, but nothing of legal size or talk. We came across this small pinnacle which held a reasonable amount of bait around 11:30am. So over went the anchor and well the results speak for themselves. We caught around 10 Coral Trout, and everything was well above the legal size. We caught not 1 small Coral Trout. Hi Guys, Here are some other pics. The close up of the fish caught on a soft plastic was off Dunk Island. I am assuming it is some sort of Sweetlip. This below pic is of 2 of 4 big metre long barras that came out for my trevally I had from the Dunk Island Wharf. It was a knee shaking moment.
  9. Hi Ken A, Funny you say this as I have been in contact with Frank at Spotters as I bought a new pair of Spotter THUNDER Photochromatic sunglasses and I told Frank how suprised I am in how many Optometrist and eye stores either dont stock Spotters or have never heard of the brand. I was shocked when some retail employees just looked at me going "Umm what are spotters"! I quickly emailed Frank back about the sunscreen issue but awaiting his reply aswell so I look forward to seeing what he has to say to you. NOTE: Australian Geographic has 20% off Spotters. Usually retail for $269.00, got them for $215.00 and they threw in some Spotter products with it. Very lucky!!! I really appreciate the feedback guys. I might go and get a little bottle of that spray stuff, just to be safe, but love that metho idea. Cheers.
  10. Hi mate, Thanks so much. You have been more than helpful and certainly put me on the right direction to looking after my new glasses that I have just stoked with. Cheers!!
  11. Hi Coast_Bloke, Champion mate, thanks for this and even better the info is from somone who is in the 'eye field'! So you are talking about this little bottles of spray you can get . Cheers
  12. Hi Guys, When you get sunscreen on the lense of your sunglasses, what is the best way to get the sunscreen off as that sunscreen is bloody sticky stuff and just smudges all over your glass lense. Would be interested in hearing peoples theorys. I have heard some spit and a tissue is not too good as the tissue is made of wood particles and scratches your lense. That is what I normally do but with my new glasses I would like to look after these ones. Appreciate your suggestions. Cheers
  13. Well done PhilD, and you are right there mate, isnt it great catching quality fish without the excessive charter costs involved at times. That sail is a mighty fish mate, decent size. Again, CONGRATS and TOP EFFORT.
