  1. Sounds like wiring/fuse fault to thoes components only.Test all fuses with a meter even if they look good they can have no continuity.Look out for 'dry joints' that is when cables join but due to high ressistance[poor connection] no current can pass. Regards Stu.

    Por 15

Hi Rick. Por 15 is great stuff, used it on a 1966 Jag restoration and so far so good.Only one thing to watch out for is if you put it on too thick it can de-laminate as such.On a trailer the hard part is getting it in to the box section but if you buy an undersealer gun you can refill the cartridge with Por 15 and spray in 360 degrees. Regards Stu.
  4. Good on ya.don't think my marriage would last 4yrs without a fish, she who must be obeyed would start to get suspicious, know what I mean? 10 out of 10 for persistence, well done.
  5. Hi BG. Two methods I use are. 1 Freeze a 3lt milk bottle with your best burley mix.Attach a rope, stab it a few times then lower to the bottom for a constant stream of burley, when you want to move to another spot just pull it up ,place in a bucket and off you go. 2 Place burley [frozen or fresh] in a brown paper bag, attach a rope so it closes the open end, lower over the side and wait for the bag it become soft then a couple of hard yanks and the bag rips open leaving your mix on the bottom. I prefer option on as you do not loose your mix if you want to move to another spot. Good luck.
  6. Mate check out A Penn big game surf rod or they re badge it as a Rovex Bario RBA 6812 TL, this thing casts a mile, thats what I got acouple months back,I looked at the Ugly stick but its way heavier and I dont like the sand spike.Price is good as well, around $160 in tackle shops or $120 at Moes on line.
  7. When its running rough, grab a pair of insulated pliers and pull a plug lead off,If the engine runs worse or stalls you know that cylinder is good, now if there is no change that is the faulty cylinder. Then do the same test all cylinders.Once the faulty cylinder is found then you start to swap swap plugs, leads, coils in that order. Regards Stu.
  8. I know what you mean,my Boxer goes off when I use blood n bone in the garden.I also have to watch her when I defrost a block of Pillies as she tends to eat them frozen.Mmmm frozen pillie ice blocks!Good for the summer.
  9. Thanks for the feedback.I was thinking along the lines of soaking chicken pellets in a blood n bone soup mix and freezing it. Regards Stu.
  10. When it plays up does it run rough or just lose power? If it runs rough its droped the spark in one or more cylinders ie plugs, leads, coil pack etc. If it is not running rough, but has no power I would look at fuel supply. Or option 3 you might of broken the sheer pin on the prop...I got caught once with that, went fine till it was under load then started to slip. Just my thoughts, good luck.
  11. Evening all. Thinking of using blood n bone in the burley instead of Tuna oil{T/oil $10.00 p/lt--Blood n bone powder $20.00 for 20kgs.Any one used this stuff apart from in the garden,if so how did it go.I know all the dogs in my area love,it sure does stink. Regards Stu.
  12. Hi Dave. How about putting a clear inline fuel filter inline, that way you can moniter the fuel flow as you are running along and you can see it you are sucking air or pumping gunk into the carbie. Good luck.
  13. I understand where your coming from but it depends on the quality of the repairer. Some just bang it out and fill with bog.But even a good repair can get damaged duco on a boat and in that case the bondo can swell up,thats all I was trying to say. Regards Stu.

    Battey Charging

Mate, get intouch with a company called EMC in Smithfield Sydney they sell Forklift parts,.125amp Anderson plugs are around $12.50 each-you will need two then just solder/crimp them on to good cables,we use welding cable.Pm me if you want phone number.
  15. Mate,if it was my boat I would use a block of wood and a baby sledge to knock it out while someone is holding a length of wood as a dolly on the outside just under the point of impact so it does not punch out the side.DO NOT let anyone put bondo/bog on it,it might look like a nice repair after its all painted up,but bog is porous and will start to swell, and if you hit the jetty again the bog will crack and your back to square one again
  16. I prefer cooked, got 2 kgs for $15.00 yesterday.Much better than frozen servo prawns.I find that they stay on the hook better, cast better, don't turn black after a couple of hours, can be refrozen with out falling apart, and you have something to chomp on through out the day..
  17. No names at the moment, but he knows who he is....
  18. Last Saturday-nothing,Sunday-nothing,Tues arvo-have a guess, you got it nothing,Friday arvo-nothing.ARRRRRGH!The money I have spent the last month I am owed a bloody feed. Was told the 'spot to go to' by a famous member on this site- and you got it nothing,I think I was given a bum steer as the spot he went to produced fish.ARRRRRGH.The wife says if I was the Great White Hunter we would starve, the kids just laugh as I come home empty handed again.ARRRRRRGH, never mind I shall keep on trying.Bloody fishing....

  22. Eveng all, virgin poster so take it easy. After salting down pillies can I vac-pac them and leave them in a sealed bucket in the shed or will they still go off.I would like to keep them in the fridge/freezer but "she who must be obayed" wants them out the house!Regards Stu.
