1. GM it's a common problem and one I had a few months back. The metal the pedestal is made of is quite soft and the base of the tube flares out over time making it very hard to get out. I got a lot of tips from the guys on here, but the tip that did the trick was from RichP, who said to use a car jack. If you're game to try it, make sure you put the jack on a large thick square piece of wood to protect the flooring and a smaller block of wood under the seat to protect that. Pukk' P.S. Just remembered you're referring to a new boat, so the 'flaring' of the pedestal tube shouldn't be there. I think it might be worth giving the dealer you bought the boat from a call and asking him for a solution, that way he's made aware of the problem at the same time. 31295 If I put a car jack underneath, it will most likely just pop the seat off as the is just clamped to the post..but will give it a go anyhow, as well as let the dealer know.
2. Since sitting in my seats on the boat I cant seem to get the poles out of the holes..is there an easy way..am I missing something?, they wont budge
3. I think I will most likely just get another 25 ltr tank or whatever largest fits under the back flooring, but with the way I measure things i'll end up measuring something wrong , alreqdy measured it last night but forgot to take into consideration the upper part where you need to slide the tank through as this is narrower and not as long as the underneath part where the tank would sit(hope this is somewhat clear). I would say my best bet would to be to hook up the boat ang go to bias, see what fits.
4. No need now jocool, I unscrewed the floor deck and to many beams and support under there as well as a heap of foam, no way anything would fit in there. Will just buy a larger tank which will hopefully fit under the back seat where the current one fits.
5. Cool, i'm going to unscrew the floor and have a look under there..will let you know.
6. Yeah they did have an option for it, didnt see the need for it when ordering..60 litre under floor tank, not sure what the price was actually.
7. What does it mean "going wide"...I am only assuming that it is a few miles out to sea?
8. Ok thanks Dave, that prolly about in line with my boat for fuel tanks, I have a stessl edgetracker 435 with a 50 2 stroke on the back. I will get another tank of 30 litres or so me thinks then.
9. Thought this may be of interest to some of you. http://www.bia.org.au/events/Rosehill/index.html
10. Actually thats what i'm kinda piggy backing off, wasnt sure if it was here that I saw the post.
11. Hi, Was just thinking of boat ramps and suitable launching for solo boaters. What about something like a boat ramp section where photos could be posted of the various boat ramps around that we all use, a lot have digital cameras nowadays and could take a shot post it and describe if there is a jetty or not around it and anby other useful information, possibly even a rating for solo launching. Just a suggestion...what do you think?

Fuel Tanks

How many fuel tanks do you all generally have aboard, my tank currently is 20 litres which doesn't seem like it would be enough for a day fishing out on the harbour and surrounds. I did use it on Sunday and didnt seem to get that much range out of it. Do you all generally carry more than one tank on board? How much fuel do you think is adequate for a day out on the water for somewhaere like Sydney Harbour.
13. Dont say that Rick he will be back for two more holes Hope all went well GM ?? did you mount your batery box yet?? Cheers Mick 30670 Hi Mick, Just have to thank yourself and Dean again for giving what I would say is very unexpected customer service from a store ,my faith has been renewed . You guys went out of your way to help with setup and mounting my electric, drilling the holes for mounting and then finishing it off by putting in all the other holes so that the cables could run neatly through the boat..I dont know what I would've done or made a mess of without the help, and on a Sunday too! with outstanding rates! ... What Rates! , well I can say this will definately be my store or preference now for all things fishing. Yeah, I mounted my battery box, now is something that should'nt be hard..but well I lost a screw under the flooring and had to unscrew the floor deck..sheesh, no wonder my wife doesn't let me fix things around the house. Had a few cast on chipping norton lake with no bites but there are plenty of mammoth from what I could tell mullet, but they didnt touch the plastics, but I think they would be a good target for a fish, gotta work out the bait for em. Moved over into the shadows and I had a tail bitten off, then hooked into something but I hadn't adjusted the drag so didnt set the hook. All in all with everything that went on yesterday it was a good day, and once again thanks for yours and Dean's service.
14. Hi, Well I got my boat, now having fun problems with bow mount , trying to figure out the best way to bolt it down. Now it seems the only bolts that will fit are the 2 top ones, and only the other 2 down left had side, otherwise I will be drilling into the hull, would having 3 screws down one side and one on the right top corner be fine to mount it? or would this cause it to not be steady enough. thanks.
15. Ok, thanks Mick, it will be running off a 100AMP Appollo GEL Deep Cycle, and battery will be charged with a battery charger
16. Just as side note to the above...I need to get a regulated battery charger...how do I know if the charger is regulated? Thanks Again
17. Got a Minn Kota 55AP today, and it has a sticker .. -- SOME BOATS DO NOT HAVE ADEQUATE WIRING FOR TROLLING MOTORS THIS POWERFULL. THE WIRING FROM BATTERIES TO THE MOTOR SHOULD BE 8 GUAGE OR LARGER, AND MUST BE FUSED WITH A 50 AMP MANUAL RESET CIRCUIT BREAKER. Now do I need to get myself a 50 AMP Manual circuit breaker, or can I wire the motor straight up to the battery? Thanks
18. I was looking at this Cabelas site before...so they deliver to Australia then?, nice site.
19. Nice, I live near the nepean, never knew it held that much fish, maybe ill go do some shore bashing of poppers this weekend...do you think there would be much to catch from the shore?
20. Thanks all, feels great, nice light and flicky...still gotta go back and get the braid on they were out at the time.
21. Well, Went out today and bought my first SP outfit Got a Nitro Powerbream 7ft and a Shimano Ultegra 2500..now all I gotta do is catch the fish to go with it...but hey im getting there
22. Well I was thinking around $500 for rod + reel
23. Hi, Just looking at getting a rod for christmas something like the nitro rods... I have a question though...as they are for casting soft plastics and the like..can you still use them for bait fishing? Something such as these? http://www.innovatorrods.com/rod-nitro-open.html
