  1. I've only ever fished North Entrance Beach for "tailor and salmon" and jewies. There's a heap of tailor about recently, so ganged pillies are the go. Jewies are another story (I haven't caught one there yet - keep in mind that you almost must go at night). Just remember that it's a SURF beach, so use appropriate tackle. You can use softies for flatties if you want (but I'd suggest bait). I don't know about the bream/whiting - save it up for the Lake. Good Luck to all, Flattieman.
  2. from me. Great job on the flattie. One of my first sessions got me six - might be beginners' luck! Flattieman.
  3. I think the stuff works. Flattieman.
  4. Yeah - I agree!!! It's great to get location-specific information. Congratulations Fishraider on your 1500th!!! Flattieman.
  5. Oackie, If you want to catch jewies, I'd use a jewfish-specific rig (I haven't sussed-out a winner yet). Tailor and salmon can both be caught on a ganged pillie, tied to a heavy mono trace, connected to a swivel above which runs a star sinker - pretty simple. I'm going to try the pillies/softies idea soon. Flattieman.
  6. Try the North Channel of Tuggerah Lake at The Entrance for flathead. Use little poddies or any softies that take your fancy. Flattieman.
  7. Hope I'm not too late, hounddog - just joined today. Try Ettalong or Paddy's Channel for flathead. There's 100ft of water at the Rip Bridge, so I'm guessing you'l do well on the jewies! Flattieman.
