Gday Raiders, Hiles and I recently got our outboard fixed (Thanks to Huett Marine!!) after landing into a bit of trouble at the back to the bay social awhile back. Keen to get a bit of information about north, middle and south heads of Sydney Harbour and if it would be safe to take our 12ft tinnie with 25HP outboard out for a fish! Cheers for any advice Higgs

Hi Raiders, Smiles and I are Heading out tommorow on the tinnie in search of some kings. Just wondering if there are any tips on what to burley and how much? I've read its best to try around the mooring because we dont have a sounder. Also we're keen to use some live squid, except we dont have a downrigger...is this pointless if we cant get the squid to the bottom??? Going to try some jigging too!! Thanks Higgs

Raiders, Went out with fellow fisho Smiles today to Narrabeen lake in search of some blackfish. It was the first time we have targeted these fish and waded out close to a bloke who was pulling in blackies one after another. A few hours out and we got a decent blackfish each. It was a little inconsistent for us however it may have just been our technique being first timers. All in all we were stoked to have actually caught the fish that we set out to catch!! haha yew!! Higgs.

Heading to terrigal too on Saturday! might see ya there. Look out for a white tinnie! No idea about jigging though sorry mate!

Righto thanks Humuwaja! We are going to try for some squid at bayview boat ramp before we head out and then maybe get some livies around west head (if the swell is small enough!). Might get our first king!

Gday Raiders, Just after a bit of advice for this weekend coming up. I was on some surf forecast sites earlier and its a predicted 10ft on Friday arvo and around 6-7ft on Saturday morning at various nothern beaches. We are keen to take our tinny out on Pittwater on Saturday morning, wondering if you guys would know if a big swell affects Pittwater too much to head out in the tinny! Cheers for any advice Higgs

Thanks Goerge, we have a couple of holder just not enough for everyone that night so out of the 7 rods there the one to get hit was not in a holder!! haha

Gday Raiders, Hiles and Myself headed back to North Narrabeen last night again for the third time this week. We were hoping to hook onto a couple more salmon and maybe a jew. We brought two of our mates along also- Renno and Digs- in hope of catching them a nice fish each. Slow start to the night with Hiles hooking onto more crabs than I've seen in my life! Then around 8pm i was helping Digs hook up his bait or something when I turned to see my rod on the sand. I Ran over and pulled in my very first salmon at 62cm on a single hook with a bit of pilchard! After a lengthy hour and a half and having moved positions further north toward the lake, Hiles hooked onto a 55cm salmon on squid! All in all a slow night but definitely worth the rewards. looks like we might have to work a couple of poppers tomorrow night ay Hiles ? Can anyone suggest any good brands or colours?
