  1. Gday Brian I have just been through the 2nd hand boat buying caper so i may be of some help...i hope. Firstly your Verada can tow 1350kg braked so a BMT package of about 1 tonne would be tops.( You will have fuel, gear and a safety margin to add for your 1350kg). The Seafarer V-sea would be about this weight but is a 5m boat and to have a cabin for 2 people to get some protection, a bimini and 3-4 people fishing is not going to happen. IF you could sacrifice some of these things the V-sea would be a great choice of boat Go the Seafarers!! I would think you will require at least a 5.5m boat to cover all of your requirements otherwise. This size in glass would be too heavy for the Verada so a 5.5m tinnie would suit you better. It will cost about $500 -$1200 to transport the boat from interstate so NSW is your best option, the closer to Sydney obviously the better. Search thru boatpoint.com.au with these criteria and you should come up with some good options. Your major headache, if my experience serves, will be finding something suitable in NSW. When i bought the quantity and quality of NSW boats was far behind that of VIC and especially SE QLD!! Good luck, buying a boat is great fun, and when you have the dream home in the driveway just try to get the smile off your face I still cant and it has been 2 months since i bought. Cheers Craig
  2. Looks as though there is a $80 approx shipping fee with this so $215 seems more like the price. Could be wrong though! I cant find a comparison price in Oz? Any info there?
  3. Do you mean drinks and drives the boat over .05 or drinks and drives AT ALL?? I enjoy a few beers when fishing, always in moderation, and at no time do i (nor my passengers) believe i have put myself or my crew in any danger relating to the beers. I have been RBT'd 3 times on the water and never gone over the .05. Remember, the .05 is the legislated SAFE alcohol limit or it wouldn't be in place. To those that choose not to drink, excellent work. To those that enjoy a beer on board, good for you. To those that go over the limit...as stated i hope they throw the book at you before you kill yourself or someone else. A beer is a beer, it isn't evil lol...but the idiot who cant handle saying no after a couple...well thats a different story. Just my 2 bob
  4. My boats name is "Spinaway", was named that when i bought it and will remain while i own it. Not that im superstitious....but why risk it Has anybody changed the name of their boat? Any rituals or sacrifices to the Gods to speak of for the re-naming ceremony???
