  2. Good job - nice fish and a great feed for the kids. Nothing beats fresh sushi - had dinner at Icebergs Sydney yesterday and they were charging $40 for a small cutlet of Hiramasa Kingfish - so enjoy your catch! Superfish

Hi Wolf - nasty cut - I fell on my local wharf a few months ago - lost consciousness for a couple of minutes - woke up n saw my slippers floating in the bay a couple fo meters away . . . . cut my hand up real bad - took the doctors 1hr to get all the oyster barnacles out and it took a good month to heal! Fishing . . . . .difficult . . . . . .like my wife! superfish
  7. Morning Fishraiders - I dont have the knowledge nor the inclination to make my own sinkers - hence I have to buy them. Recently got 100 8oz (around 240gms) and 100 16 oz (around 460gms) from a wholesaler for a total price of around $300 which included TNT courier service.   10. Hi cruisecraft- just got a cx8HP plus rod - it had auto jigging function n I've got 200lbd braid spooled - many thxs for your guidance. Where can I get the super-duper heavy sinkers? Cant wait to try the gear!! Cheers, Superfish

  16. Hi Joco - that is a brilliant blue-eye cod - it goes for at least $40/kilo - I have never caught one and I am MOST envious! Well done, great pics and what an inspiration to us fisherpeople to get out there and get some great aussie tucker! Superfish
  17. Nice report Squidking - great to feel the power of the King in your hands!! Went squidding with my dad at Balmoral a few months back - anchored into reef, got no squid, then had to cut my anchor rope coz it got stuck in the reef! Got the GPS coordinates, sent a few divers down but no luck . . . .so no squid, no anchor, and a few hundred dollars down! Cant wait to see your pics! Superfish
  18. Went off to the Whale / Long Reef a fotnight ago - fantastic day - calm seas, 0.5m swell, glorious sunrise. Got hammered by Chinamans, lost a ton of gear - only 1pike to show for my effort!! But gee - great to be on the water with mates and enjoy the seas . . . . . . .
