  1. I would fill the old transducer holes with epoxy and attach the pvc board to the transom with sikaflex and then screw the transducer to that which will eliminate any chance of water getting in causing your transom to rot.

    Prop Selection

I would ensure your outboard is mounted at the correct height before wasting time and money on fitting different props.
  3. nice fish mate, i Got this fella going back back 2 weeks ago off crowdy head 85cm 8 kilos, 3000 td advantage reel 10 -17pd d red back rod 20pd braid 20pd leader combo im puting together now is a 4000 stradic fb on a samaki zing 10-15 pd rod running 10 pd braid.

    Popper Rod

Looking for some help on finding a rod to throw some poppers, metals, sluggos around for some pelagics mainly kings from boat..I have a reel that i need to match the rod with its a 6000 size spheros already loaded with 30pd braid. Came across a t curve revolution offshore 7ft 5/10kg the other day has any one used one before? Biggest concern is that the reel may be a bit heavy for this model? theres also a 6/12kg model but its not a 2 piece which would be nice and its a bit over my budget which is $200 max. any help or ideas would be great cheers.
  7. Thats the biggest flattie i have ever seen hands down monster
  8. not sure where your at mate but tackle power in charlestown, newcastle still have a couple left, i grabed one for 99$ bargain..
  9. Didn't know that about the 6500 saltist, thought there must have been a typo in the new daiwa catalogue as it said 15kg, in hindsight it seemed like alot of drag for the price 30kg for under $300..anyway on topic im looking into getting a outfit for kingies at the momment aswell im leaning towards a daiwa excelor da saltwater 6500 for around $250 its got a lower ratio than the saltist so it should have a bit more grunt down low. for a rod im thinking either a saltist demon blood 762X around $300 or a older daiwa monster mesh rod on sale at the local for $200. 300 meters of 50pd fins for about 70$. so around 600 -700 bucks you got a combo which is capable of stopping alot of big fish and not breaking the bank either, thats the road im taking anyway. cheers ben.
