  1. Nice catch mate, in close or out on the gravel?
  2. Nice report guys, I fish the tournament every year but didn't enter this year as we had to come home on the Saturday night back to Sydney. Also had a ball but didn't get the big numbers you guys did. We found some quality fish in 25m-35m, 65cm through to 88cm and lost some bigger models. Fished down south towards bundagen , fish were scattered around and not schooled together. Flick bait evil minnow did most of the damage. Dom I take it you guys fished up north as I didn't see you boys down south. Brandon
  3. what depth you been getting them in?
  4. Nice fish mate and good honest report, Have found it very tough this year on the reds very frustrating
  5. Have found it tough going on the Reds of late, well done nice fish. Have only managed a couple of platies and lost one good fish in the last 5 or so outings. Were you out wide in the gravel?
  6. One per boat would be fine by me?
  7. Any luck out there today? Thinking of chasing reds tomorrow down south in shallows early.
  8. Great report mate, were you referring to snapper on the main reef being of a darker colour and reds out on the gravel being of a lighter colour. I mainly target reds down south on plastics and I to have learned to look for fish traps, after all those guys do it for a living and no what depth a lot of schools are in at that particular time.
  9. Nice catch mate what depth were reds taken in?
  10. Headed out from the Hacking this morning started trolling 40 fathoms 25 degrees, heaps of bait in close and down deep. Trolled North East to the peak water cooled to 24 degrees and no sign of life. Turned south in 60 fathoms and came across a big marlin 100kgs plus sitting still on the surface but unable to get him interested. Headed back down South straight out from jibbon in 65 fathoms shotgun screams off stripe marlin going ballistic for 15mins or so then pulled hooks aahhh .... Anyway had a great day with a mate from work and he knows what it's like to fight a marlin know and has the bug!!! Plenty of stripe tuna schools about both marlin were in these schools. Good luck this weekend!
  11. Congrats mate, I think I trolled past you guys. Were you with another boat that was filming you fight the marlin?

  14. Fished down there several times this season but has been a bit hit and miss, for me last season was far better. Hopefully it fires late this year.
  15. Hi mate, I have the same sounder and the fish on the sounder you are calling a slimy looks a lot like a snapper to me (just my opinion from experience)
  16. Was out today as well off Cronulla, bagged one red 67cm and another 41cm after that the Trag moved in and we couldn't get a bait pass them. Great day on the water though. Bait balls scattered everywhere in Bay. Were you in bait bay today? bait or plastics? Cheers
  17. Duckegg , I have fished a ledge off Cronulla 120ft-140ft catching small reds and loads of pike and have also often wondered if any Jew are in the area before dark. Will give it a go soon with downrigging some live pike on tide change Let us know how you go Johno, I have also found loads of pike and the odd red off Cronulla on a ledge 120ft-140ft. Have also considered dragging live pike on downrigger on a tide change, you would think jew or kings cant be to far away with that number of pike in the area. Let us know how you go
  18. Looking at Trolling/Downrigging xraps magnum 10's for reds off Bellambi in the gravel beds, have seen it work down in Port Phillip Bay. Anyone tried it up here with any success?

  22. Well done again mate! I fished there last weekend and caught 2 reds 58cm both out in deep water-220ft. Both fish caught on 140mm wrigglers. Both fish hooked close to bottom, have you been getting hits mid water or near bottom? Also when your looking for reds on the sounder do you search for bait schools or big shows hugging the bottom. Keep the reports coming great reading...
  23. Hi mate were you hooking fish on the drop mid water or when working it across the bottom?
