  1. Sounds like it was pretty tough out there on Friday for alot of people. Not much bait off sydney but sounded promising at the JB kink with a fair bit of bait around and spotted free jumping marlin. Apart from 6 resident seals in botany bay and a pack of dolphins I thought it was going to be another sight seeing day till around 2.30pm on the way back 12km NE of Browns in 22.2C when as I was dosing off from boredom and the mrs asleep in the cabin all hell broke loose with both outriggers breaking off at the same time. Ended up with 2 fat albacore and a first for Sam, couldnt be more proud seeing its her first offshore gamefish and the way she handled herself. Now for a marlin :-) Not the yellow I wanted but I'll take it anyday. I'll be back. Both took 6' pakula skirts in lumo green and purple. Cheers Vic

  2. Gerry,

To top it off that was the biggest of the bunch :-( don't worry Gaff Man is being reminded of that trip on a daily basis as the Tuna start to come through.

We've decided he has to gaff the first one, not sure if that's a good idea but its the only way we can help raise his self esteem.

  3. I'll definately be out in a weeks time hoping to land one on Plan B :-). Had some great success on Anyfin last year 2 from 2 :-) That rush is unbeleivable. Was it this time of year Gerry or later?

  4. Hey guys just wondering what the go is with the expiry date on an epirb and how to rectify. Is it a matter of changing a battery through a dealer or is the unit expired and a replacement required?

    Cheers Vo2c88

  5. Pretty tough out there yesterday. I ended up going off port kembla. We hit the 75fthm mark to find a nice patch of bait getting smashed by birds and dolphins. Hopes were up and a strike was imminent but no predatory fish to be seen or caught. Worked the area for an hour or so then made the call to hit the shelf. We saw no bait nothing out there. A couple hours wasted saw us come back in to where we were in the beginning. Same thing bait but no fish. All in all a dissapointing day but it seemed to be tough for all incl the port hacking tournament which saw a boat tag and release striped tuna which shows the struggles people were experiencing. Let us know how you go. Goodluck
