hey mate i went out on the yak this arvo n fished around there actually saw a few surface splashes although failed to land anything still havent broken my yak hoodoo... I was using gulp pumpkinseed worms got heaps of attention but i couldnt manage to land one, tried striking and not striking no difference.. Just wondering how others rig up their worms whether theyre plastic or live cos the fish always seemed to bite from the tail and nowhere near the top where the hook was... I tried having a stinger hook as well but that didnt help at all...

Know how ya feel mate fished yesterday on the run in tide around towra point for a few hours for zilch... Ah well still good exercise paddling about

Gday raiders, Had a nice quick evening session on the Bay today... Started off around the 3rd runway, hooking up a few small tailor and bream that got a free dinner before being thrown back into the drink.. Then landed a nice juicy 65cm Mulloway/Teraglin/Salmon??? Im relatively new to fishing so I would appreciate any input from the more experienced guys on here as to what fish this is... Anyway drifted around caught a 30cm flattie that was released, then took off home to cook some fish for dinner. Hopefully head out again soon before going back to work!

Out on the water at 7am from the airport, water was like glass and stayed like that most of the morning awesome conditions for fishing. Motor was playing up on me so decided to stay inside the bay, numerous schools of tailor causing havoc on the surface, managed to catch a few all undersize though so back they went. Headed over to molli point for some drifting brought up a 50cm Kingie which put up a good fight, which was released after a quick photo. Quitened down towards lunch so decided to head back since the motor was still konking out on me in neutral. Funny thing was I caught all the fish including the Kingie on the same berkley gulp lure haha talk about bang for your buck. Hopefully get back out there soon once I get the old 50hp Merc serviced.

Thanks for the input guys! Just wondering with the lures you guys are using, do you use sinkers on the line? and approximately how long is the leader length? I know im a noob just wana make sure im doin it right

Hey guys I'm relatively new to trolling went out n bought myself a couple of lures n tested them out yesterday on the harbour. Landed a few nice Bonito in Rose bay they were jumpin out of the water smashing baitfish like crazy! The only thing is I caught them all on the same lure, nothing touched the Rapala that I had out there??. If you guys could help me with some input in regards to whether you use sinkers or how long the leader length should be with Rapala's it would be much appreciated! Oh and the swimming depth of the Rapala's meant to be between 4-5m if that helps.
