  1. Hi Chris, More info! I think the boat weighs in around 1040kgs with a 115hp, I have a 90hp so it should be slightly lighter than 1040kg. The Forestor can tow upto 1800kgs with a trailer that ha brakes. Francis
  2. Hi Chris, Sorry for the delayed response. The car goes great, it hardly even notices the boat is there. It does the pulling up the hills with abosulte ease. All up the combination of boat, trailer and motor is around 1200kg. I want to go one of those public weigh stations but haven't had the time to do it yet. Cheers Francis
  3. Hi Dave, Awesome looking boat. Your territory looks more like a Suzuki Vitara with that mother on the back In regards to your question about the self leveling kit, I have a Subaru Forestor XT which has the self levelling kit as standard. The XT is quite low for an SUV but the with the self level kit it makes towing my 5.3m fibreglass boat that bit easier. It keeps the car nice and level which is great but also comes in handy when trying to get over speed humps. Also good for the othe motorist on the road, stops my lights from pointing up in the air. Hope you get her soon especially with the holidays. Cheers Francis
  4. Hi Rob, Good on you for organising. I need to check a few things but am really keen to get to my first raider social. If I can make it I will been keen to lend a hand. I agree with Namesay, Roseville/Garigal National Park is an excellent location. Lots of trailer/car parking. Also great grounds for BBQ and socialising. I am keen to pick up some skills from the more exprienced fisho's Will get back to you shortly to confirm my attendance. Cheers Manama
  5. Hi Bullfrog, I think the one at Chatswood is automatic. I would recommend the Carlovers at Dee Why - Pittwater RD (next to the RSL). Lots of bays with plenty of height and width...just be careful with entry into the complex, has a tight corner but with the right approach shouldnt be an issue. Cheers Manama
  6. Nice fish Trouble, Good to see you getting out there and having some fun
  7. Hi Namesay, Thanks mate, appreciate any help I can get, Im looking forward to catching some squid which would hopefully = KINGIES Cheers Manama
  8. Hi Namesay, nice report and well done on your consistency. I launch from roseville and have just started to get back into the fishing thanks to the new boat. I went out a few weeks in the rain and wind with no luck. Your report gives me incentive and i think kingfish will be my targeted fish. I have caught 2 previously and would love to start building on that. One question, i known some spots to target squid in the harbour but they are around the kelp beds closer to middle head (thanks to a charter I went on with some friends last year) but I have no idea where to target them in between the spit and roseville, do you find your squid west or east of the spit or both? Thanks to your reports I know the kingies are there so there is definitely lots of incentive. Kingies are great sushimi, i went to a resturant near pyrmont 2 weeks ago, damn i can't remember the name but it was in japanese, in english the translation of the name was kingfish. I had lots of it as sushimi, I actually prefer it to salmon or tuna. Great work and keep em coming Manama P.S if you see a white and maroon freedom escape at roseville or on middle harbour come over and say hello

Looks like the next generation won't know any better and will be doing the same thing. The Japanese government really need to step up and take notice of what the rest of the world is doing This makes me

  17. Hi, Ever since I have had a boat (not long may I add) NRMA has always been the cheapest for me by a substantial amount. It may have something to do with my multi policies. Cheers

  20. A driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway. Nothing is moving. Suddenly a man knocks on the window. The driver rolls down his window and asks, "What's going on?" "Terrorists have kidnapped John Howard, and Peter Costello. They're asking for a $300 million ransom, otherwise they're going to douse them with petrol and set them on fire. We're going from car To car, taking up a collection." The driver asks, "How much is everyone giving, on average?" "About a litre."
  21. Hi nrperry, Mate I live around that area and I saw the birds right near the bommie yesterday arvo. I haven't seen that many birds for a long time. 22. Ilk, where the hell did that comment come from. Pretend fishermen explained exactly why he didnt confront them. Comments like yours are not required on this site
  23. Hi Pretend Fisherman, I dont like it when people take undersize fish or are abusing the system and have seen it before. You're right sometimes its best to leave it when you don't know what you are up against. I have listed the fisheries details below. I know I have called them before and they were kind enough to give me a local contact (different area to yours) but I'm sure if you contact the number/email below they will be able to assist. Fisheries Telephone +61 2 9527 8411, or 1300 550 474 (Australia only) Facsimile +61 2 9527 8576 Postal address PO Box 21, Cronulla NSW 2230 Street address 202 Nicholson Parade, Cronulla NSW 2230 Email information-advisory@dpi.nsw.gov.au Cheers manama
