  1. thanks for all the replies now all i need to do is pick up some gulp pumpkin seed and wx40s cant wait to give it a try in the night now. Keep the lines tight
  2. To all you knowledgeable fishraiders was wondering if fishing with soft plastics at night is actually productive. I always leave when it starts to get dark because i figure they wont be able to see the lure. But now i am thinking the fish would have to be able to feel some kind of vibration or even smell the lures if you scented them. im hoping someone who has tried fishing with sps in the night can enlighten me if there is any tricks and basically if it even works any help would be appreciated thanks
  3. I reckon that a nice long but flexible rod put together with a fishing reel with light line on it should do the trick then it just comes down to the weight of the sinkers and your technique
  4. change in plans because of the weather forecast on monday has seen plans put forward to tomorrow. So i would still like to know some places for future knowledge. But what should i take to catch some live bait at minnamurra.
  5. hey guys just got back from a long morning with not much to show for it. I was after some mullet so i put out my traps and i was trying out that float that roberta made(i copied her design) and that worked great and to my suprise hardly any tangles it was a rarity. But so where the mullet today for some reason they just would not go into my trap . It was lucky that i was also using roberta's float thingy today. anyhoo does anyone here know a nice little spot say off a wharf within 30min of blakehurst that i could hunt down some yellowtail or basically any baitfish. Because i am sick of wading in and out to get that trap. Thanks guys and i have to say all the help on here has been great.
  6. ye it is plus its a easy way to learn new knots because it shows u step by step in detail
  7. I spoke to my brother inlaw today and the spot is finalised we will be fishing minnamurra as he has fished there before. But thanks for the help flightmanager will definently keep that spot in mind for future south coast trips. But if anyone else has fished this spot before i would love the help as to what rigs, bait ,rods i should be using as i would like to be in with a chance on most fish landed also ive read through some of the reports on here from minnamurra and it sounds like it is off the rocks so do i need to take the long rods along? i will be mostly using sp's but i want to buy the bait and catch some livies so ye any help with what bait goes well would be good.
  8. That sounds good well you can be expecting a report pretty soon like say next week providing the weather is good. I am going with my brother inlaw and it was his idea so ill let him tell me were he wants to go before telling him about port kembla but i will definantly tell him . Thanks heaps
  9. hahhaa im an idiot thats a good point sorry i live in Blakehurst in Sydney 2221
  10. Hey guys/girls after a good fishing spot down south willing to travel up to 2 hours. Any suggestions will help as I would rather go to a proven spot rather than somewhere I think looks good but usually sucks . Ye so if anyone has got a good proven spot mainly rock or beach fishing spots but any suggestions would help just incase the weather is crap. Would be greatly appreciated and i know its a little late but happy new year to everyone on here.
  11. Hi, my favourite place to fish would have to be south west rocks and i have fished there for 5 years in a row now ( annual fishing trip ) and i usually always end up going for the big jewies but have not been lucky enough to catch one... So this year i am determined but the thing that always slows me down up there is catching the live bait... so i waswondering if any1 on here fishes up there ... and would be able to tell me a spot to pick up some squid or pike or any other live bait that jewies like. I have no access to a boat ( not yet anyway) I will be using a sliding snell rig with 60 lb leader although not sure how much wieght i will need if any or how long the leader should be? if anyone has ideas or tricks would love to hear about them as you can see i am quite a novice when it comes to jewies.Hopefully not for long anyways hope to hear back soon thanks heaps
  12. Hey guys ive found that eating some toast and a banana before i go out helps especially in the morning fish
  13. ye but i reckon he looks around 45 and then today i found out he was 38 he is an old 35 i reckon
  14. Hey mate yer i saw it today aswell great movie the best bond movie ive seen yet but it was a bit wierd without pierce. But i reckon this guy is way better and it is true he is meanerhe even lets off a smile after blowing a guy up just to give the fellow fishraiders a taste at what we mean. But not only that he is willing to get down and dirty where Pierce Brosnan would come out of a fight virtually unscave the new bond just cant help but get cut bruised. Anyways great movie for anyone into action so go and see it

    Blonde Jokes

Return the Dog Two blondes suddenly got into bird hunting and were eager to try it out for themselves. They had read that a birddog is a great and useful accessory in bird hunting, so they decided to go to the pet shop and buy one. They asked for a well-trained birddog, and got one. The two blondes immediately went to the woods to try it out. The dog didn't work. No matter how hard they tried, it just didn't follow their commands. They became really frustrated and one of the blondes said to her companion, “Okay, we'll give him one more try. We'll throw him in the air one more time and if he doesn't fly, we're taking him back to the store!” Alligator Shoes A young blonde was onvacation in the depths of Louisiana. She wanted a pair of genuine alligator shoes in theworst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking. After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle" attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blondeshouted, "Maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes at a reasonable price!" The shopkeeper said, "By all means, be my guest. Maybe you'll luck out and catch yourself a big one!" Determined, the blonde turned and headed for the swamps, set on catching herself an alligator. Later in the day, the shopkeeper was driving home, when he spotted the young woman standing waist deep in the water, shotgun in hand. Just then, he saw a huge 9-foot alligator swimming quickly toward her. She took aim, killed the creature, and with a great deal of effort hauled it on to the swamp bank. Lying nearby were several more of the dead creatures. The shopkeeper watched in amazement. Just then the blonde flipped the alligator on its back, and frustrated, shouts out, "Damn it, this one isn't wearing any shoes either!!
