  1. G'day fellas, I'll be up there for the tournament as well, call sign parto See you up there
  2. Yeah mate there is one at Careel bay but it's on sand at low tide and you would much prefer a 4wd to use it. A few people have come unstuck here..
  3. My mates dog loves them.. Eats them whole ..no worries with the bones
  4. Big effort mate.. You deserved it
  5. I'll take that by catch any day mate.. Well done
  6. Shoal bay rmp used to be all sand and pretty steep from memory.. Have they concreted it? Where are you guys planning on fishing
  7. I'm taking a cruise craft 530 explorer up... Hoping the weather comes good.. How does the boat ramp go with 450 boats trying to launch each day ? parto
  8. Hey fellow fishraiders.. is anyone heading up to the port Stephens trailerboat tournament in March..?
  9. Agree with the above comments.. Was out at west head today collecting lives and a pro boat came right through it and down to flint and steel with his nets collecting everything in it's way.. Didn't spot a fish till we got outside of barrenjoey. Very sad It's a joke to see this happen these days.

  12. Hi Raiders, I haven't posted a report yet so thought it was time, Went off Long reef on Monday morning to the sand grounds and caught a good feed of flathead, around 1130 the wind dropped to around 5 knots so we dicided to head wider, after catching a heap of huge sargeant baker and other throwback we frifted into some good size morwong and reef flathead then the big rod goes off and up comes a big pearl pearch.. weighed in at 4kgs, was stoked as you don't often see them caught off sydney and will be going on the barbie tomorrow will try post a pic.. Cheers
  13. ha no its just one of those hidden gems that people overlook.. im keen to get back up there myself over the next few weeks. the boat ramp at crowdy head is about a 10 min drive from the centre of harrington and would have to be one of the safest boat ramps on the north coast set inside a small trawler base harbour and less than 100 metres your in open sea. cheers
  14. Hey mate, Harrington is a great place.. Friendly fishing village. I've spent many holidays up there and always had a relaxing time and brought home good catches.. Crowdy head has an easy launch boat ramp with full facilities.. With a 6m boat you'll have no problems getting out to the deeper reefs for some big snapper and kings around mermaid reef up north and old bar down south. The river has plenty of fish such as flathead and huge jewfish around the break wall and nice swimming spots. If you have a 4wd there's good tracks and camping spots to explore around crowdy national park. The bowling clubs good for a tasty meal and Harrington pubs even better for a cold one Hope this helps Cheers Matt
