  1. Hi Raiders, Had a pretty productive day on the hacking around Lilli Pilli...most notably one of the biggest Trevally i've seen around measured 61cm. For most of the fight I thought I was onto a decent Kingy...didn't stop taking drag. On the first run it had my Thunnus 4000 onto the backing although i must confess there wasn't much braid on it in the first place maybe 80-100m. My mate Adrian aided the capture of this beast courtesy of some impressive boat work. Action didn't stop from the moment we got there, mostly Watson's leaping bonitos and good sized bream. The bonnies were taking anything you threw at them, it was one of those days. A spoon with a hook on the end of it would have worked I reckon. Took a few home for a feed of sashimi rest were caught and released didn't bother with photos. Gear: Lox snapper rod Thunnus 4000 8lb varivas squid leader
  2. Daiwa Seajigger 305's Shimano Stradic Fi (find a good 2nd hand one) comes with two spools

  6. Damn that's a nice sea food platter =p sashimi, tempura, batter, grill ...
  7. G'day Raiders, Just a quick report nothing special. There are some serious Trevally in the harbour at the moment. There's 5 in the picture but me and my mate dropped at least 6 between the both of us. When they get their head down it's just crazy town. Got pinged! by a few...I'd say they were pushing the 45-47 mark. Rig: Korean float Rod: Seajigger 305 Reel: Stradic ci4 with 12lb varivas Bait: Peeled prawns combo with fresh squid. Once these boys got burleyed up you could probably fish at them for the whole day. unfortunately I had to call it a day early to go home and finish reading biz law stuff.....so I can go again tomorrow morning. Will report back again Cheers Dwan8337

  11. I think so too read it somewhere with the U.S. Forums. Maybe they have some inbuilt mechanism to stop the water flowing outwards. These DIY ones should have it at the top. Oh wells note to myself for the next live well.

Pulled anchor and just followed it till the wind picked up. Did you see a yellow poly around? there was a half cabin following it around as well further out.
