Ah thanks for that. Are they good eating or not? i thought he looked a bit old and wise so he was released, but are they as good to eat as the usual yelow fin leathers? (which hapen to be my favourite fish to eat )

hey guys, decided to go home early today and head to port hacking. My mate caught this leather jacket and ive never seen this type before, does anybody know whats its comon name is? Its not like the usual leather jackets i get in port hacking... (fish was released) sorry about the crappy mobile phone pic....

Ah the barington tops and chichester state forest is a great place to be. Tops for camping, its realy nice up there, for those that havent been, do your self a favour and check it out A plane went down in there over 20 years ago and still hasnt been found.Its so vast and thick in there, its one amazing place check it out http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/03/28/...s&oneclick=true

Holy christ! i couldnt imagine doing that when i had one stuck in my finger (pic for those that may not have seen) I was told not to pull on it incase there is a nerve or something near it that you may damage? That hook was on a mates line, i was removing it from a fish to release it, and when i did he pulled on the rod which sent the hook into my finger. At hospital they gave the finger an anthistetic, then sliced a bit so it would come out. I felt like an idiot siting there at the hospital with a hook and a length of fishing line hanging of my hand Carpe, I will give that method ago if it ever hapens again, if it avoids puting an end to a fishing trip, and a 4 hour hospital wait, i dont care how many nerves i damage!!

I go to port hacking every saturday, and also take days off during the week, my worst time was geting this hook in my finger, and had to go to hospital to get it removed!!

I was in the hacking on saturday arvo, came across a 1 meter flathead on a small rod and reel combo, i pulled the line in by hand, but he choped the line with his teeth as he got to the side of the boat, bigest thing i have seen in there !!
