  3. Typically, Berly will end up ruining a good kingy spot. Yes it will work some days, however i find that people find kingy haunts, and berly the crap out of it. Pretty soon you will have the yakka's bream, trevally, sweep you name it, take up residence, every sort of fish that puts a very quick end to your live squid or cuttle. So for me, no berly, and patience in a known haunt. I was lucky enough to actually be paid by fisheries to assist them in a tagging kings of all sizes. We had 17 under water recievers placed in various places around the harbour, these recievers picked up the fish as they passed. Most fish passed all 17 recievers in one day, so yes, they continually move. To answer your question as to why they didnt bother the Yakkers at all ?? This is a bit of a stab in the dark but I have found Kings to be a very focused feeder. they are either onto yakkers or squid, or cuttle or garfish etc. They will bite on one, and not the other. I have noticed that particularly late in the season like now, that Pillies do do the damage. This is perhaps why they didnt bother the yakka. PErhaps they knew they were safe ?? Baldy

  13. Hey Guys Any reports of fish from the Abercrombie this season ? Fished it as a kid from private prop, which has now been cut up into hobby farms and access is now no longer. Was thinking of giving it a creack next season, but dont want to waist my time like i did this year at the Turon. Baldy

  15. Any tips on some good inland fishing comps would be appreciated ? Have always done the Nelson Bay comp and we are now looking for something different. Within a 4 hour drive of Sydney would be preferable thanks Baldy
  16. Berly for the bottom feeders, but please dont berly for Kings. Yes it will bring a king over if in the area, but the problem is that people sit on a popular spot, could be a Marker or a wreck, and berly up. when this happens for days on end, you bring in the little jackets, squire, sweep etc. Hard worked for Squid then get pecked away. I've seen it over and over again. Makes some spots un fishable Baldy
  17. Sorry lads, should be in the freshwater sect
  18. Four days camping on the Turon, for nothing other than the shi!s. Day 4 ended up in a drive back south to the Cox. THANK GOD. We came across maybe 6 to 8 fish, hooked 2 landed 1 all fish seen where keepers. Unfortunately the Turon is again barron, other than Carp. Baldy
  19. i think anywhere on the cox is worth it. My only suggestion is to walk a long way before wetting a line. Try to get past the fish that have been spooked regularly
  20. Cox is fine, they didnt really get all a that much late last week. Saw a few nice river fish, and caught a PB going 2.405 kgs. WOrth a trip
