Hi all went to palm beach fished the pool area. To rough for rocks got there about 9:00 just before the high tide within 5 minutes soaking wet but all good. About an hour or so later had a pillie on and off the rod went about 30m out can see this nice salmon jump as I'm bring him in 3 nice jumps then I landed it a nice 70 cm salmon. Some guys down there told me there was some other guys there just before me caught one at a metre long. I also caught a wirah cod as I've been told by fellow raiders.

Hi just wondering what type of fish this is ?

Thank you very interesting. Like something out of the jetsons. I didn't know it would take things that far. We really need this I think. The host looks like paul hogan.

i cought one a few weeks ago at Hunters Hill. Ive also caught a few at swansea in the lake and the harbour. how good do the rings look when you stir them up they look normal till there distressed. It's only the beak that can hurt you but not worth taking any chances.

Hi Guys,
I went Bream and Pig fishing early Sunday morning to a fave rock ledge of mine.
I burlied hard for an hour or so before first ligh and was pleasently suprised when I saw a big blue groper swimming around.
Totally unprepared, I drop a whole prawn on a 1/0 french and hook up to a beast of a fish.
The fish ran hard towards an outer reef, then he turned and ran straight back at me.
With barely no swell I was able to manouver myself up and down the ledge to tire the fish out.
I washed him onto a lower ledge, jumped down and gilled him.
He was over 70cm and official weight was 7.8kg.
I've caught other groper, but this is my first over 3kg, and my first off the rocks.
Maybe COTM?

Congrats on the blue groper. Do they look a lighter blue in the water think I saw one the other week in port hacking about 50cm. Not sure but it looked similar except bright blue.
