HEAR HEAR........... Great Forum.......
I am a member of other sporting forums and generally do not read past the first page, due to the ridicule and personal attacks that start to generate on page 2.
Great work Admin and fellow members........

Does anyone know if construction has started on Gunamatta Boat Ramp?
I notice that the Woronora boat ramp works have been completed.

Great thing for the kids.
Brings back fond memories of my Christmas Holiday at Sussex inlet.
I have gone from the witches hat and only use crab traps now, as you say the muddies will rip them apart.

I personally would leave the motor down (as long as the depth allows at low tide) or at least the anode in the water, so as to stop any electrolytic action, especially if your boat is alloy.......

You should not have had the fuel gush out of the filler if it was higher than you vent/breather. If this occurred it is suggesting that you have a blockage or kink in your breather hose.
I have a deck filled under floor tank that also has a breather that is lower than the deck fill. It is normal that there will be fuel discharge from the breather on a hot day if the tank is filled to capacity.
Also, make sure that your breather and breather hose to the tank is clear, so that your motor works efficiently, so as not to create a vacuum in your fuel system.

We fillet them, then run a knife either side of the bones on the fillet = two nice little fillets.
Dry the fillets and crumb them in either smashed corn flakes or salt and vinegar chips and lightly fry = fantastic........

Good work,
I was hoping the larger Trev's would come on in the new year.
Went out just before Christmas could have filled the boat with 29.9999 cm models.

Hello All,
I spent a relaxing 2 weeks fishing and boating down the Shoalhaven.
During this time, I took my boat out and my mate also took his out on the same day.
We tried call each other using the VHF radio with no luck.
I could hear him and Marine rescue on the call channel, but we could not communicate on many the same channels, except channel 10.
Can anyone shed some light on what was the problem?

My local Pharmacy told me that they have had supply problems with manufacturing.......

Hi all,
I have my father coming over for Christmas and I want to take him fishing as much as I can.
He taught me to fish and is really excited at the prospect of fishing Sydney and seeing how I live my life. Unfortunately, I can't take him out in the kayaks!
I'm not sure of the rules (have dug around), but would like to ask if anyone could PM me or recommend a charter (or charters) that fit (roughly) the following criteria:
- Looking to fish the harbour systems or inshore reefs - he'll struggle with anything too hectic
- Early morning start - half day - mid December
- I think he'd have a blast fishing for the likes of rat kings, salmon, bream, flatties, school jews - if he gets a good fight without pulling a muscle he'll be happy
- I fish lures almost exclusively so wouldn't mind getting him on them, but the most important thing is to get him on to some fish, so I'm not bait averse
- He's a bit of an introvert, so I'd be looking to book something for just the two of us. Not worried about spend at this point, but obviously would rather not go bananas
My other option is to hire a little run about and take him out myself, but I'd rather give him something a little special if possible
Any help or recommendations would be appreciated - flying a little blind
Cheers,
Razzell
Admin????????????,
Are there any harbour charters advertising on the site?
Can I recommend fishing charter companies to Razzell?
-
I would drive and have a look see. If the boat, trailer and motor is not
as advertised. Walk away and put it down to experience.
Then have a good trip home with or without the boat......

Very true in the extra safety side of it. And if you hit a hot bite can mark it! I did use it on my old one but I'm interested to see how many use them to their potential. In saying that even if you don't use it much I guess there will be that one time you go " shit if only I had a gps on this"
3rd this.

Congratulations - good effort!!!!!!!!!!

Call Velox in Kirrawee NSW.
You can buy direct.

I went down to Gymea baths yesterday, caught a few trevs. About 6 or so people were squidding of a boat and only saw them catch 1 in the couple of hours. Seems pretty dead. A good spot, which may still produce land based is at Bass and Flinders point in port Hacking.
Were the Trev's of any size?

Good work there.

Better still. Park in front of your peskie neighbours house.
I have had a neighbour start parking his mini-bus in front of my house.
I asked him to stop - he continued.
The next reply was to tell him that if he wants to park his mini-bus in front of my house. My boat (that is parked off street - next to my garage) and my future caravan will then be parked outside his house.
Problem solved.

All I have ever done is a very good hose off after each use.
Spray hose /water up all channels that you can get too.
I also have a cheap garden sprinkler that I put under the boat that saturates the under side of the boat and trailer.
I check and repack my bearings every 12months. At this time I spray cold gal on anything that looks like corrosion.
