Hi,its always been a lillte smokey ,i did change oil when i was up the coast a few months back as i couldn't get what i was using ,and havnt taken the boat out since,i just keep starting up in the yard to keep everything loose ,but the last couple of times the amount of smoke was unreal,next doors thought i was burning rubbish,and the oil left in the bottom of the cowl,especially when tilted up,hope that all makes sense ,thanks for getting back,peter.

Hi gang,any help will appreciated,i have a 1995 -75-oil injected merc,i know two strokes are commonly smokey but this is excessive,a little hard to to start but idle is ok and throttle up is ok,compression is good any ideas would greatly appreciated,also getting oil in bottom of cowling,have put new seal on top of oil tank,thanks peter.

thanks huey for all the info,now that you mention it ,this all started since i started using the synthetic oil,dont know wheather this is just coincident,but anyway will get it looked at thanks again.

Thanks to all,Huey who makes xd-50/100,ive been useing mercury injection syntheyic oil,there are no motor running issues,only leakes when tillted all the way back,anyway thanks again,pete.

Hi to all,placed a thread about my motor leaking oil when tillted all the way back ,some ideas came back and i have checked to see whats going on ,result was ,found leaking from oil resivuor cover seal replaced now thats fine watched it for a few hours nothing so i thought i had it but next morning the well was full of oil again,re filled resy and waited ,took a while but it came out of all three carbies ,question is what cuases this and how to fix many thanks for help,sorry for novel,pete.ps sorry its a 1995/ 75 oil injected mercury.

Hi to all,i was one the many,many boats out on bot/bay today,nice day, afternoon a bit blowy,lot of activaty,so a fare mean chop , so i came in (about 6pm),out of the day i could not belive the amount of boats with kids under the age of 12yrs without jackets on,and the worst sight of all was an older man with 3 small children at the back all with no safety gear on at all ,i couldnt help myself but say something but was told to mind my buisiness,what made me more angry was that the marine rescue whatched this fellow leave the jetty,im a father /grand father and it would absolutly distroy me if anything happened to my kids from my own lazzyness or stuppiditty,i just dont understand why,anyway just my 20 cents,thanks pete.

Hi to all,just thought id share my unbelievable exspirence today,got to botany heads about 1000am,fished around for a couple of hours ,then set some line and settled down for some lunch,just put the billy on when whoooosh,coverted in water,just about s****ing myself ,to look over the side and wright beside the boat was this huemungus humpback just sort of lying there for a minute looking at me,heart pounding trying to get my phone to take a photo ,to late he ?she just sunk away ,lost my glasses ,nearly the phone overboard,never caught a thing all day but what a sight/memorry to hold on to ,what a magnificent animal how they can kill them is nothing but shamefull,anyway folks that was my day,just had to share it with you all ,thanks peter. :yahoo:
