  1. Well done, heard some of the chatter on 21 and knew someone was having a lot of fun! A little bit on the messy side out to and past browns for us in a 6mtr so we started the run back in at 2pm. Tried a bottom bash also but that was near to impossible so homeward bound we went. Looking forward to hearing the full report. Paddy
  2. Went out past browns today, without any sucess. Tried to bottom bash browns but the current was fast, even had the motor in gear and could not hold bottom. Heard some of the guys on 21 getting on to fin and a long liner working the area. Very rough day in a 6mtr getting out and back in. Paddy
  3. Heading out tomorrow from botany, will let you known if sucessful .
  4. Hi Damo You can,t win them all ,as they say. You guys have had great results lately and I can appreciate your clients and crew being disappointed but them,s the breaks. Monday and Tuesday seem to be looking better. Have been enjoying your reports even after a day like today. Keep it up mate. Paddy

  6. Hi Raiders, A little good news today in that "The Leader" published my reply to the editor on their story re:Government looking into reopening commercial fishing in Botany Bay last week. I also had a reply from the ministers office confirming they received my letter and will respond shortly. Again ,let your local member and the minister Katrina Hodgkson know You do not approve. Regards, Paddy
  7. I was on the way home from night shift at port botany and it looked like mayhem at the boat ramp at 06:35 It looked like it was going to be a great day on the water,Too bad your results did not match, better luck next time
  8. Headed out late 11:30 this morning and Fished Botany Bay for a mixed bag. caught three nice Bream 35-40cm,a couple of flatties and eight ockies all on hawkesbury prawns. Headed for the ramp at 16:30 when the lightening and rain started. Sorry no photos.
  9. Port hacking sand flats on low tide for yabbies and Cronulla beaches for worms.
  10. Hi JT, I live in Kurnell and use "the hole" myself to launch but after next May/June We will have a good upgraded ramp here in "the nell", it is going to be two lanes with a pontoon and dredged for depth. I cannot wait as I would have the boat on the ramp in 1 minute from home and the closest to the heads. At the moment I would only launch a tinnie on the current ramp.
  11. Nice one mate. I think the buzz is much better seeing the kids hooking up than catching yourself. And You know as we get older we can look forward to sharing more of these moments in to the future. keep it up
