  1. They are beautiful eating very small fillets but worth it all the same They are a plague in some areas unlike the leather jacket you always get your hook back lol I have been stabbed many times by there spikes they are painful for a few mins but I have never had to cut a days fishing short due to a sting from one So anyone that catches these give them a try they are worth it YUM YUM

Hay thanks guys for the info I just decided to buy all the Transducers I ended up getting the B60 through Hull ducer just waiting for it to come I was going to buy the 1K ducer but most of my fishing is in less than 100m and lowrance recommended only the 600 Ducer, all tho im told I can run both but buying a splitter so I will look into this at a later date

  9. Hi all I'm looking to replace my Garmin unit but I'm not sure what brand Furuno or Lowrance both are great brands but having talked to reps from both they both say Our units are better blah blah blah lol I'm leaning towards the lowrance hds 9 touch or hds 10 I mainly fish in 20m to 50m chasing snapper and kings but have also started chasing tuna now Please give me you views thanks
  10. This is interesting Hyperostosis As they grow, all pink snapper develop bony humps on the forehead. This is called ‘hyperostosis’, or above-normal bone growth. Older males also grow fleshy bumps on the snout and it is thought that the males use these bumps to nudge females at breeding time, as if to stimulate the release of eggs. Who knows why In NZ they don't get this problem unless they are found in very deep water but even then it's never this bad the bump is weird
  11. I don't mind kashwai in lemon it's nice altho it's even better when smoked with plenty of brown sugar and a pinch of salt ( all fish in Australia don't taste the same as nz, nz is much nicer specially snappers not nearly as sweet but hell good all the same..

  17. Hi there mrsswordfisherman with no disrespect to you but to ask a question that leads to a report is still reporting, I know myself that I myself don't read the fishing chat looking for reports and to be honest I don't read the fishing chat that often manly due to time restraints and you will problley find that a lot of raiders don't altho they will read the reports often, there are times like this with my post that other raider members will give a report once prompted, the site has a mod post that states members need to step up and report I also know that I myself see someone asking for a report ill give mine even if I got a zilch catch, I don't often report if I caught nothing and you will also find this is the same with a lot of members but again a lot of members will report it if they see the reporting question asked even if they caught nothing, this help members like me save a lot of time and money in fuel costs reading or asking questions that lead to reports.. Please other member that read this give an opinion I think it's worth asking a question that leads to reports in the reporting section of the forum Thanks for reading and giving your opinion Thanks for your time reading this mrsswordfisherman
  18. Nothing better than man made burly lol thanks for the report
  19. Sure it's not a report when I asked the question but the guys helping myself and another raiders out by giving there reports of what is happening ARE REPORTS Thanks to the raider members for your reports, it's expensive to tow a boat from sydney to Jervis to catch nothing when there is zilch around
