Great work there.. I'm sure it would be great to have the cash to walk in to a dealer and walk out with a brand spanker.. But there really is nothing like putting in the hard yards and coming up with something that has more than just monetry value. Well done

I lived on those little Islands for a while .........and i reckon all that space is for hanging and smokin dirty big eels They love em over there.

Was up on hamilton with some mates in may and chartered a game fishing boat called Marlin Blue. The slipper and deckie were fantastic... really knew their stuff. We caught around 8 spanish macks all around 1.5m and longer. Easily the best fishing ever. Not cheap but well worth the dosh. PM me if you want the details of the charter guys. Josh

I bought a refurbished satellite M30 directly from Toshiba about 18 months ago. I got it for around $2000 when it was retailing for around $3000 and it's been fantastic. great screen heaps of memory and fast as. You can probably tell I'm not an IT wizz but its been great for me. Don't know what you were looking at chinamen...They were good from far, but far from good!!!!! As for the rods... had a look at them cos I thought, hmmm 30 bucks for a $180 rod, sounds good. But had a close look at them and I won't profess to know much about rods, but I know enough to know that at least the guides should line up So walked out without waisting the dosh...

Sounds like a great idea Laredo, everything I've learnt about fishing(which is a whole lot of very little) is from going out with mates and gleaning info here and there. Wish I had aboat so I could tag along aswell. One of my mates wants to upgrade to a boston whaler aswell.. They look great, but apparently they're pretty hard to get 2nd hand. How did you track it down? Any pics? And if its not too personal.....price?

Geez they are some ugly lookin' fish.... But the way you guys are talking about them they must be a pretty good feed..But measuring in at over a meter, do you fillet them or chop em into steaks or what??????
