  1. We plant to have another session this morning to try our luck again, but last night my mate msg said he wont be going due to he couldn't get a permission from the BOSS . Since the weather is so calm and the I do know the place well so I decided to have a solo session. Left home at 5, first jig hit the water at 6, caught 2 small perfect bait size southern calamari straight away off it went under the float, nothing touch it for an hour , try different method without the float for awhile got something have a go and took the squid head could be salmon,tailor or a rat may be.... got bored and go back to squiding and got 6 more green eyes. I gave the biggest squid to the another nice angler who trying to catch his family dinner before I left

  4. Long time reader first time poster, here a quick report some sort... This morning, I and my mate got to our spot off eastern surburb rock just before sunrise, number of squids take the liking at our jigs and in they come . I immediately pinned one and sent it out about 1.5m under a float (targeting kings) but nothing thing touch it for about 90 mins, also try throw my xrap for about 30 mins with no avail , then switch a smaller size xrap in 20s cm length and got a tailor and that is for the day. Not sure what i am doing wrong can someone give me a tip, the livie squid was pinned using sliding snell knot, one hook go into the back of squid's head and the other going the other end of the hood where the v part. 50lb braid and 1.5m of 50lb FC. And my squid set up is Rod: shimano sephia 8"3' medium, reel: daiwa 2056, 10lb sunline super pe, and 10lb FC Rock, Jigs: mainly in orange and pink color 3.0 Here our catches:
