Hi there, I am a South African lad, and have moved down to Canberra from the Sunshine Coast where i shared a boat with my Dad, now, boatless, i am getting twitchy. You know the sort, buying every fishing mag printed, slowly treading the hallowed aisles of every gear outlet and reading every fishing report....slowly....dying...inside.... You get the picture. Most weekends, i drive down to the South Coast with my beach rod, leaving at 'stupid o'clock', fishing all day. I find the reward vs cost heavily weighted towards cost. I don't have a boat licence, although i will be getting this at my next visit to QLD for obvious reasons ( ACT car licence + QLD boat licence= win) The wife has said no to a boat due to my first child due in May. (she is soooo unreasonable. ) I can tie most fishing knots, bait most hooks, read a sounder, launch a boat, etc etc etc I have some half decent gear, enough to tackle most reef fish. So, here is where i do the begging..... If you are looking for some company and someone to help make life easier and cheaper, look no further.
