    Yeh be careful with the hairies I'm pretty sure they have an anti-coagluant around their teeth which prevents the blood from clotting on a wound, don't quote me on that one though. Well done on the hairies did you have a bait on the bottom for the jew or only targeting the hairies?

    Well done mate but be careful of the bite. I had a 95 cm jewie bite me on the hand and it turned purple and got infected. Pay back can be painful.

    Yea ... I luv Hairtail . The teeth really Sharp . I just bought a new jacket , last two day my jacket is gone , because teeth of Hairtail ... :ranting2:

    Hi Raiders

    If not mistake tonight high tides around 5.40pm , we're late today , because of traffic . We started fishing around 6.15pm . 2 bite , hooked up 2 medium hairtail , after slow down until 8pm . From 8pm - 10.15pm not much for bite , but luckily still hooked up 2 monster around 173cm . 2 medium , 1 small & 1 baby jewie . We release 1 small hairtail & 1 baby jewie . Tonight total we have 6 hairtail . Tonight I saw couple a boat hooked up as well around 6pm ++ , Anyone there ? Can I get some info about the low tides , Thanks . We went to WB around 10times , but all the good result almost @ Sunset , sometime high or low tides there no bite as well . So I feel if wanna get some fish and play safe , sunset is golden time . Tonight we went back around 10.30pm . Enjoy fishing & safety always .

    * Becareful Hairtail front teeth , damn sharp .

    great catch there man! now that was the jewie I was hoping to hook up onto last week ehhehe :biggrin2:

    so you reckon the hairtail will slow down after all the rain?

    \Hi buddy , I'm not sure , but last few days is raining , almost slow down every night . I just came back from WB . Tonight we hooked up 2 monster , 4 medium . 1 small hairtail & 1 baby jewie release .

    Ah, okay. Do you just burley them up and catch them on a handline? Or a bait jig? Sorry for asking questions mate, just trying to get enough info to chase them myself!

    Dont worries , just be friend . I used handline and burley . They most in 5m - 7m deep .

    Hi mate , sorry my english not really well , I hope can get what i mean . We used live yellowtail (medium size) for the bait .

    Great hairtail but what about the jewie! How big was he ? Looks 10kg+

    Hi buddy , Jewie is not mistake is 12.5kg , my friend hooked up ,it's really crazy , keep going and non stop running , the mainline almost gone ...

    You did well to land fish on 6lb gear and the results were great. It must have been below zero out there.

    great haul and hope you continue to have a lot of luck. You deserve it in this weather.

    Yea you're right , 6lb suppose is zero . But I used 4 gang hooked . Good luck man ..

    We were heading out at 9pm , as you came back in I think I shine the torch and saw your boat. You were coming back to Appletree bay right?

    Yes , buddy ... Last night we went there as well . just hooked 1 Monster 180cm , 2 medium 167cm , 1 small . At low tides . around 7pm-7.30pm , but after that totally no bite . we stayed until high of the tides after 2am , We went back ....

    Where did you go to get them??

    Can you catch them based from land or do you need a boat?

    We go with boat to WB . If you looking for land based you can try at Illawong Bay before sunset 1hour or high tides . There have a lot people , you should go before sunset 2hours . Then you can get a better spot . Good Luck ...
