  1. Hey Bob, I have sent you a PM, please feel free to contact me. Tight Lines, SBC
  2. Hey Shakeel, My thoughts are after a few days saltwater starts to go off as all the living organisms die and decompose, water becomes stagnant. Anyone out there got a scientific explanation? As for freezing saltwater, 1. you need some pretty low temperature to freeze it solid but it will freeze to a slush in an everyday domestic freezer. Tight Lines, SBC
  3. Hey Geoff, Thats a brilliant idea!! We will have to employ that idea as it will take up a little less room in the freezer... I agree 100%, aplies to bait, fish, burley etc Thanks for sharing your ideas, great ideas!! Tight Lines, SBC
  4. yea the bottles sure take up a fair bit of room. we use our bait freezer, a chest freezer. yea i agree, certainly a great/humane way to dispatch a fish. Tight Lines, SBC
  5. Hey rads, Stay posted and we will have an article up on what fresh water does to freshwater fish. Tight Lines, SBC
  6. Well we simply use thick plastic, water tight bottles and fill with fresh water, freezing them, placing them in saltwater ensuring they do not leak. i.e. 2ltr Orange juice bottles. Works great. thanks for the feed back, I like seeing how other people prep their catch as I see to many fisherman leave it in a bucket, no water and in the sun.
  7. Morning All Fisho's, Ever wondered why the local fish shopstinks? Or why you or someone you know doesn't like the taste of fish? Well its simple, the way fish and or any seafood for that matter is treated from capture to your plate are generally the reason behind that fishy, awful smell. Checkout the article on the link below and get a better understanding on the do' and don'ts on treating your catch to keep the quality! If you can't catch it the article also explains how to pick the perfect fish from your local fishmonger. http://scentblazer.c...ishRunRisk.aspx Share on this post the way you look after your catch!! Found good water in 900 fathoms but no fin. Also the part where youcouldn’t keep the Scent Blazers out of their mouths sound familiar haha. Soundslike that run of fish from Bermi may possibly making their way up here. Areyou out this week? I think Wednesday looks good with the arvo tide change.Saturdays tide change is on dusk I think. This week may be the week they showup, Fingers crossed. TightLines, TheSBC.
  12. Hey Damo, Thats very cool, which Scent Blazer lures are you guys using? looking forward to a report filled with big Fin, all the best of luck out there. Weather looks near perfect! Cheers SBC www.scentblazer.com
  13. With very few reports of Yellowfin tuna The Scent Blazer Lures Crew took to the water to see if we could get amongst the fin, now we just had to find them. The SST charts were showing some promising tuna filled water southeast of browns so we pointed the bow in the direction of the fish. Our run out was filled with an array of wild life from lazy humpbacks to very playful Pilot whales! The bird life grew the further east we traveled; albatross to terns and even the pesky mutton-birds were out in flight. The fishing was red hot with double and even triple hook ups on smaller tuna, we couldn't keep the lures out of their mouths, with the stripies keeping us busy our search for gold continued into the dark! Read on and See how we went, what Scent Blazer Lures we used and what techniques helped us find the fish! Follow the link bellow! http://www.scentblaz...aseForTuna.aspx Tight lines Scent Blazer Crew
  14. Hey fellow fishos, great to be part of this forum. Just briefly Scent Blazer trolling lures have a detachable bait chamber which allows fishermen to load the lure with natural baits. When they're trolled, water passes over bait and leaves a scent trail behind the lure, so the lure tastes like a real fish. Use the link below to find out more about the lures: Scent Blazer Website Try this top trick with Scent Blazer Trolling Lures. If you catch a fish, any fish - Tuna, Dolphin Fish, Mackerel, and if you plan to keep the fish for bait or to eat, cut open the fish and open its stomach contents. 9 times out 10, there is undigested baitfish inside. Put that undigested fish inside the lures. You now have the actual bait the fish are feeding on in the area inside your lures. So often you hardly get a bite because you don't know what they are feeding on. This way you'll get more hits on your lures. If anyone has any questions or wants to know more about the lures please don't hesitate to ask.
