I head down to the grandparents place at narrawallee near mollymook as often as i can, I launched my kayak from jones beach at bannister head for a little troll, within half an hour i had 2 bonito and a snook, went back out on the monday morning and picked up another 2 bonito and a mack tuna in a half hour session, there was a nice westerly blowing on the monday which made the ocean nice and flat for me and my yak, all of the fish were caught on a purple/white rapala lure, on the friday of the long weekend i also went for a paddle up Narrawallee inlet, one of my favourite places, easter long weekend = very high water traffic for a place that is usually deserted out of holiday times, my girlfriend and i got our kayaks on the water by 6am, first fish was a 24cm bream on a chubby strike pro lure caught by my girlfriend, and then i picked up 3 tailor close to the 40cm mark on a little rapala uls-4, the tailor went hard for their size, love catching them, i also tried for some squid around mollymook and ulladulla with no luck, if anybody has experience squidding down there i would love a bit of help, the water was crystal clear, sun was out, fish were caught, great weekend on the south coast,
