  1. Plenty of spots in MH mate.. I'll flick you a pm with a few...

    hi tom,

is it possible if you could also send me a pm also regarding jews, bream and flatties landbased in MH?

    cheers!

  2. I never said they were a seasonal thing. There's no rules saying you can't post up topics that have already been covered. If someone wants to post something then so be it, does not mean other raiders are forced to contribute to the topic. Those are just my two cents...and its 8lb line.

  3. yep, no worries! was not sure what Catchin Jack was getting at...

i agree with jewhunter, all this information has been useful and i find it more effective getting other raider's opinion and starting my own topics rather than using the "search function" and reading old posts :biggrin2: overall a majority of the content on this forum has been covered, people just like fresh and new opinions/advice.

also i tried out the double uni knot and found it very easy to tie and effective

  4. My post regarding this is here http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=60567

Im not saying you dont do a good job, quite the opposite actually, obviously its a tireless task going through every post to make sure they are a report or not and wouldn't expect admin to be able to do this.

I browse the forums on my iPhone in safari - I dont like the layout of TapTalk as much as safari and if I need to post a photo on the odd occasion I will use my computer, however unfortunately there is no way to report a post without reloading the forum in full site mode and going back in again which is pretty painful on the small phone screen.

Like I said admin were moving the posts for a little while however I havent seen many get moved as of late and alot of newer ppl posting in the wrong section again

Quick qn, sorry if it's off topic but I was recently using the mobile site from my android phone and clicked view full site down the bottom. Now every time I need to zoom in and out to view posts and forums. Is there a way to convert the site back to mobile site from my phone?

  5. Did you catch the bream on a SP? Yeah, I have caught some nice flathead within the swimming area on high tide, and caught my PB bream down on the far side with a SX40.

no, caught all the bream using bait

  6. Hi,

I am a regular at kogarah bay, flicking HB and SP, winter is pretty hard in KB with plastics. Although I've found that fishing from the early afternoon is typically the hardest! If you want to catch stuff in the KB with SP (I'm guessing flatheads?), you have to go a bit earlier, try timing it with the incoming tide and the morning, i usually find that 8am is okay, usually earlier in the summer. I do have more luck with HBs and bream rather then SPs and bream in KB, depends what you are after though? I usually work KB the hardest in summer, which is coming soon, it has been getting warmer!

    Cheers

    Clement

thanks for all the useful tips! I'm trying to target flathead and bream and the occasional whiting if they're around. is the run in better than the run out at kogarah? and also which HB's do you use if you don't mind me asking?

    cheers

  7. hi raiders,

went to kogarah bay today land based. fished from 12.30-3.00pm the run out tide flicking soft plastics around such as squidgies wrigglers, squidgie fish, nuclear chicken and a hard body for another donught...this winter has been very quiet in kogarah bay. Can anyone offer any tips?

    cheers joseph

  8. Your outfit is fine.

Jighead is fine, s.p is fine, maybe go to the 55mm wriggler!

Baro was good, tide o.k, maybe not quite big enough to get the fish up on the flats.

I always had better fishing to the right along those walls from the wharf.

Also left from the rowing club to the back canal.

Give the entrance to Hawthorne a miss I reckon & move around a little.

Small h/bods worked slowly also work very well.

    Cheers,

    Grant.

Which jighead should I use for the 55mm wriggler? Cheers for all the tips! I'll try them out within the next week
