Its interesting that you got your livies way out there in such numbers.The usual spots at Pittwater have been totally dead-or super small. We actually resorted to hitting the end of Smiths Creek and finally, with average success, brought in a few slimies. Well done with your grand efforts for the dollie! Regards, Murray

There is another thing that you and your dad must learn through these trying times. Don't tell the wife, mother or girlfriend that you are going fishing.Real winners like myself have now learnt to say that we are going "boating". This saves the embarresment of having to explain why you went out and burnt 150 litres of fuel, spent $60.00 in bait,you million dollar Lowrance sounder coupled with your outriggers, downriggers and other bits of highly expensive equipment failed you. Failing to catch a fish just allows for ridicule and sniggering when you get home. My Wife didn't buy the "boating" change of tact but it makes me feel better! Regards in "boating" Stumpy

I had my 4wd broken into last season at Parsley Bay (Brooklyn) I am not sure wheather it will help or not but the little buggers popped the hood and as luck would have it, stole a brand new 750 cca battery from under the bonnet. (Real big bastard) The tip is that if one drives a 4wd, see if you can harness the battery as the kids know that 4wd's have great batterys. There not very smart as they broke my quarter window, yet the drivers side door is broken and was un-locked.(Another great vehicle in my fleet) What was really disturbing , is that they tossed my Cannon camera and a 200mm zoom across the carpark in disinterest. Couldn't give a damn. Just went for the battery. Regards, Stumpy
