  1. Mate guna be hard to find a 5m+ boat for 8gs that doesnt need work.

Im selling mine at the moment 5.5m Savage. 115hp 4 stroke Mercury. Brand new Furuno 620 sounder, outriggers, live bait, all safety gear, Built for fishing.

Im asking 17gs tho but thats negotiable. I did the same thing.. i was looking for a boat in the 5m+ area and looking at around the 10gs mark but everything i found needed major work or a new outboard. Spend the cash on something you know will run every day. Nothing worse than breaking down time after time.

  2. Changa... So if i call my boat "Beakie", I too can get out of bed at 11am and be hooked up by 11.30am then cleaned, showered and on the piss by 1pm? Thats not a good days fishing!!! hahaha.

WarnSTAR.. yeah i always wondered why it was called Ungry. Now i know. hahaha.

My dad and me are buying the boat ive fished on for the last few seasons. The name is BIGBIRD. The guy that built/owned it called it Bigbird. Now my mum isnt keen on the name hahaha, im trying to convince them to keep the name as it is pretty well known down south. And it has been a fish magnett for us. Id hate to change the name.

  3. Whats everyone's thoughts on changing the name of a boat?

  4. No dramas mate im sure your on the mark. It is fat.

Ive seen alot of over estimated fish in the last 2 weeks tho.

I know it doesnt really matter, but sort of takes the shine off all the real 50+kg fish caught.

Came across a few boys at the boat ramp telling evryone they had 90+kg fish in the trail and had landed a few 60kg fish. When i saw the fish on the table i nearly fell over. More like 35kg fish.

Yeah there alot of big fin in sydney at the moment but not everyone is catching 50+kg fish. 50kg fish is a fish of a lifetime to most, looks like the fish of a lifetime will now be 100kg.

The thing with Yellowfin is, they look alot bigger than they really are.

  5. Warnie

    hahahaha Im good mate.

Yep there is a polorised lense you can put on your camera, great for shooting the water but blows out your normal footage of sky, boat and playing silly buggers on land. thats the prob, you need 2 cams running, one for the fish only and one for everything else.. but ill get there mate. All takes time.

That blue eye footage was done on my mates cam and was set up all wrong. But it has been fixed all too late hahaha.

Big boat like yours should have all the cams a man needs .. right????

    hahaha

  6. JewGaffer,

Mate im not sure if you have seen or heard of the StateOfOrigin movie from down at JB?

If so i was the maker of that one.

The main sponsor of that was from another fishing site, so im not sure if the Fishraiders have been exposed to it yet.

  7. I dont hear the 'Crusty Demons' using Guiseppe Di Stephano???

Last I heard Game Fishing was an extreme sport.

Now if the video was about catching Flathead, Whitting or Gummy sharks i would of used Guiseppe Di Stephano for sure.

Turning the sound down... you would of not heard all of Chewsters stupid calls!

Gota grin and bare it sometimes mate!!!!

Ive just uploaded our Blue Eye movie as well.

  8. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 'Team Atlanta' make the treck to HatHead just south of South West Rocks NSW.

We video each year and make our own personal dvds.

Due to popular demand weve decided to release 2007 on Youtube.

There are 11 parts to this dvd. Below is each PART for you to look at from 1 - 9.

I will upload part 10 and 11 over the weekend. 10 and 11 are deleted scenes and slide show.

This is a movie of 4 guys (PEANUT Mitch / LATSY Brett / CHEWY Allen / MOREHEAD Nath) who dont claim to be great fisho's, but we have fun. Hope you all enjoy it.

  9. Thanks chewster.

Your a wealth of information. NOT!!! hahaha

Hathead is great for small alloy boats. Anything bigger than mine will cause some probs.

I recon the run from Hat to Black is very easy. Something we didnt video was the run out there one morning. Pumping seas at 4am (pitch black) saw us all hang tight and while heading towards Blackrock we were hit with flying fish, One to latsy in the chest and one to Peanut in the face.. i kid you not!

Great fun up there and we will be back in 2009. Stay tuned.

Well, the next 2 parts are now uploaded for everyone to view.

    part 10 and 11.

    Hope you all enjoy them.
