  1. Short & sweet day on the reef , only brought home what could be consumed that evening. seas were huge 3m swell on a lumpy chop, intermittant rain squalls. all in all not a bad 4hrs off the coast of nelsons. Its a top place for livies, just open the bait tank & they jump in. will post a bit more of the adventure when ive got a little more time . cheers Ed

    My Baby

May Be NOT its a 5.8 trailcraft trailblazer : lenght 5.8 , overall length 6.35, beam 2.55 weight 745kg depth floor to gunnel 700mm, mine is 2years old now & i think they have changed the beam as mine is illegal to trailer but i do. Here is an old photo of the original model the only difference being my seats and pedastals, my bait board and my rear bimini. Hope this helps.

  7. Bad luck Tim , an old bloke told me drought on the land drought on the sea. not to mention i beleive the water clarity is not good & i beleive the rivers are not getting flushed by rain so regular therefore the silt , phospherous & suspended matter just leach through the esturies via minimal tidal flow. just a theory.

    Bb/

Left woy woy at 5am today, weather sad. tried everywhere around b/bay to escape the wind rain& more rain. ended up spinning for taylor off little box head, the place was crawling with taylor & bonito. totally drenched by 11am & all the light gear striped from the tackle box we headed home. they all went back as i cant get bonito past my nose. however we did witness a 1m jew landed at juno pt. In all a good day had by all . we tried a old trick instead of chasing the school around & casting in only having to refollow I tried this , throw hand fulls of rice into the water & they stay around the boat for as long as you throw often.

    Boat Time

Mitch buying a boat is a very personal thing, only buy what you think is the boat that suits you, whether its the cheapest or dearest. It has to suit what you want to do not what you think you might do.I bought a no nonsense plate alloy boat to get me out to the shelf, no dunnies , fancy fittings, just what i wanted to suit noone else , selfish yes but I paid for it, just like you will , so dont get suckered in by looks , or other agendas. GOOD LUCK . ED

    Interesting Cat

thats a nice cat, stable at rest too!
  25. B Knot i dont know exactly what size it is but it sits on the stainless scoop bracket & it would only be 70mm high, the complete unit, & it pumps a head of 4 to 5 ft . there was something seriously wrong with the old one of yours. I always deal with the manufacturer direct on warranty even when they have checked with the store that sold it, after all the store not keen on a warranty claim as they want to sell y ou another one . remember every customer is an oppotunity. hope this helps ED ps when my boat is under way the scoop just fills the tank in under 60 sec.
