Hi.
Was just wondering if anyone had any tips on cooking Trevally or Tailor? Are they any good? My general rule is if they don't sell it in a shop then it can't be too good, to a certain point. I never have any trouble catching either of them just usually throw them back by habit...

Awesome stuff Dave. I've heard whispers of the odd Tailor and Salmon being boated down Paddies channel way, which I though was strange enough.....but that takes the cake! Well done.

Hit up the sandflats around Dangar Island yesterday arvo in the boat. After the Burley kicked in, landed two keeper flathead round the 45cm mark and a solid bream (34cm) plus a heap of throwbacks, using prawn. Not bad for only a couple hours on the water.

Thanks guy's. I'll try that Dan. Blonde just happens to be my weapon of choice as i'm starting to lose sight of my feet. Not a bad drop. What kind of percentage ratio of each ingredient?

Hi Raiders.
Love this thread. A blond question from a bit of a beginner in cooking his own catch. Could someone please tell me how to beer batter my catch. It doesn't sound like it would be all that difficult, but for me.....
Thanks in advance.

Great post Roberta!
Unfortunately no great tale to mine. Last name being Costello (no relation to Peter), Costa for short. I was going to use my nickname which is Custard, due to the day my English teacher got a bit shirty with me playing up, and in stuffing up the pronounciation of my last name she called me Mr Custard which just stuck. Thought it would be nice to excist in another world (or Fishraider) away from the taunts of that fateful day, so I went with Costa.

Sounds like an awesome session Netic even though the Kings weren't as big as you would have liked. 93cm that's just dissapointing

Interesting, thanks for setting me straight on that one fella's. Don't think i'll be heading out to chase them in my 16ft'er if that's the case then.

Ok! So I guess the Bait schools head north and the Kings chase them. Cheers.

Finally heading out after a few painful weeks off the water. Probably sniff around the Harbour for some Kings. Good weekend to all.
