I havent bought reels from overseas but having a look at the japanese daiwa catalouge there equipment is so much more hi tech than here so my next bream outfits coming from japan.

i use the metal ones and still lost a rod stick with the plastic easier to maintain

ive got a 12 ft flat bottom v nose punt with a brand new 15 johnson and it flys goes a bit slow with three but just a good boat to fish the esturaies.

I use fireline on my baitcaster in 10lb and its perfect for flatties and have even caught bonito outside on it with plastics. For bream gear the 6lb will handle most bream and is what i use. For leader use siglon flurocarbon in 6-15lb as this will handle most fishing applications when flicking sp or hb around.
